  1. 55% read of Salt to the Sea. Gripping stuff!
  2. I'm into this type of genre at the moment (well more of an obsession really ) I just "live" in a fantasy book world of the 1930 and 40s! . I loved Allingham's short stories. So I bought a couple of Patricia Wentworth's 99p too.
  3. Ooh, I’m tempted with these! I’ve got a few Patricia Wentworth kindle books, but not any of the Miss Silver yet. And I loved Mary Stewart’s Madam, will you talk? These have luscious cover art too
  4. Reading Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. Wow, what a good book! +
  5. Watched Their Finest. Loved it
  6. I’ll definitely have plenty of reading time this week, with the horrible weather. Read 3 hours this afternoon finishing Crooked Heart by Lissa Evans - and it was a lovely book I have a couple of children’s books this weekend, starting with Uncle Montage’s Tales of Terror by Chris Priestley.
  7. Finished Crooked Heart by Lissa Evans, and I loved it!
  8. I’ve just finished reading Crooked Heart, and it was a lovely book! Just a beautifully written book, and now I’m a bit sad that it’s finished :/ I hope that Their Finest Hour and a Half is as good. I’ll read it next, before seeing the film.
  9. Read 17% of Lissa Evans' Crooked Heart. Really enjoying this book, so far, as the characters are very quirky, and certainly not lovable either. But the plot is great!
  10. Watched Your Name last night. It was okay....I liked it, but nowhere near as 5 Centimeters Per Second, for me. Trying to follow the plot was.....hard and exasperating
  11. Lucifer S3/E13 ‘Til Death Do Us Part - Hilarious, and my favourite episode so far.
  12. Finished Three Things About Elsie by Joanna Cannon. I loved most of the book, but towards the end...... To read next: The Sealwoman’s Gift by Sally Magnusson
  13. Watched Gardens of Words, and Five Centimetres Per Second. Oh my, they were so good, especially FCPS. The storylines were good, but it’s the beautiful artwork, is amazing. It’s the light! (*o*)
  14. Hi. The email issue is okay now for me
  15. Watched episode 11 of series 2 of Lucifer. It's so good, and it's even getting better!
  16. 52% read of Three Things About Elsie by Joanna Cannon. Loving it!
  17. Now I have to reschedule my reading plans, as I have Three Things About Elsie by Joanna Cannon, only three weeks from the library, as lots of people requested the book. Going very well so far, and It reminded me of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, the episode A Cream Cracker Under The Settee with Thora Hird.
  18. Just started Cogheart by Peter Bunzl. Great stuff, with steampunk!
  19. I’m 1/3 of Series 2 of Lucifer now. Still loving it! I thought it was a bit of a shock! Especially with the gore.... And Morse and Fred Thursday seem to have become more.... hard and bitter... I hope things get better!
  20. Watched the first 8 episode of the 1st series of Lucifer. It's so WICKED!! . Love Tom Ellis as Lucifer
  21. hey, lots of Studio Ghibli fans Spirited Away was the first SG film for me, and i have Princess Mononoke to watch now. I saw the trailer for this one, another on the wishlist now! Ah, I thought that Your Name was a Student Ghibli film (I blame Amazon, as it did had YN on the list of Studio Ghibli search, but I was confused between Your Name and Ocean Waves . Never mind, I have both to watch now. I admit that i am only starting on Studio Ghibli recently, and haven't got into a particular director/writer yet. So far my of Studio Ghibli favourite is Grave of the Fireflies, which is not the most feel-good type of film! Five Centimetres Per Second is on my wishlist now.
  22. My reading mojo is sluggish at the moment. Tried to listen audible version of The Bear and the Nightingale, but I had a real problem with remembering the Russian names for the characters (especially the formal and pet names). The text version is definitely easier, but.....mojo is very reluctant to do any reading.
  23. Watched Moomins in the Riviera and loved it. That’s good to hear/read. I’m getting into Studio Ghibli at the moment, and I now have DVDs to watch- Your Name and My Neighbor Totoro.
  24. I loved her album The Magic Place, and I listened Nepenthe yesterday. Loved it.
  25. Watched The Red Turtle. had seen lots of great reviews, but I was disappointed and mostly nonplussed.
