  1. Yesterday I downloaded some books onto my Kobo. I got The Farm by Emily McKay, The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson and The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie. Of course, I won't be properly starting these until I've finished A Memory of Light. But may dip into them as I take my Kobo to school to read there as my book is too big for my bag. Currently reading a free ebook on there.
  2. I had a shop brought lasagna with chips and beans.
  3. I'm sorry haha. You'd think I would be interested in something like Star Wars what with my interset in sci-fi/fantasy and playing games like World of Warcraft but sadly know. I do like Star Trek though.
  4. I've seen the one where Liam Neeson goes to the young boy of Luke Skywalker and he's making some car machine thing. I honestly don't know xD I don't think I even watched the whole thing. I think I have watched them all but at a time when my step-dad (at the time) was having a marathon of them and I was like 9.
  5. Cant wait to get the doctors over with and find out if i have psoreisis. This itching is annoying

  6. Starting a new unit in English Lit and we're now doing an essay on feminism, marxism or metaphor within a poem. One of my teachers has recommended and gone through Daddy by Sylvia Plath which I'm seriously considering writing about on feminism in terms of the Electra complex. I was just wondering what everyone else thought of the poem and if they have any suggestions on feminism within the poem. I have a few from my lesson and will gain some more but it would be nice to have some other ideas should I find myself lacking.
  7. Now to mentally prepare myself for poetry

  8. I would be eternally grateful if @CadburyUK made boxes/tins full of Animals!

  9. I just finished reading some Keat's poetry in my literature class. The Eve of St Agnes and Lamia are good poems by him but not war poems. I'm also starting some more poetry tomorrow so will tell you if they're any good.
  10. The one with the weird mutation in the cigarette? It came on when I was eating my tea at one point.
  11. Ohmygod! Do we really need more?! I get bored of them within 5 minutes. They're old (and I don't do old films, anything past 1990 is a no-no) and it probably wouldn't be right considering it's been god knows how many years since the last one was made.
  12. I agree. He's a writer like Jack Reacher where even if the books seem the same it's just alright.
  13. I'd definitely recommend Jane Eyre, I absolutely loved it. I didn't really like Wuthering Heights, but a my literature teacher said, it's like marmite you either love it or hate it. Not read many other classics. Dracula is an okay one.
  14. I totally agree. There aren't many forums around that can stay alive in regards to books and reading. I've been on many forums (all general chat really) and even they don't last long. It's nice to get away from the snowglobe of people I'm used to and to find people who share a common interest with me. So I totally agree (again!)
  15. English lit exam went really well. No more til june now #result

  16. Comic relief great british bake off
  17. Great dancing by @radioleary but I still prefer the Dermorettes!

  18. Just finished eating a Yorkie biscuit and some Animal biscuits(such a kid!)
  19. I don't like old TV/Films xD David Tennant has by far been the best. Matt Smith is on par with him though
  20. Fry up! Bacon, poached egg, sausages, mushroom, hash browns and beans!
  21. I know some of you may think this is about the book, but I'm talking about the film that I think is coming out this year. I'm really liking the trailer so far and think they might pull this off. I can see how it might be quite hard though. And I'm hoping that it doesn't feel like a Twilight film (I get the feeling that it could be somehow!) and that it's quite full of action like the actual book. Anyone else looking forward to it?
  22. Holy crap! I cannot wait. Been watching it since David Tennant. I'm kind of liking the new assistant, but I think Amy Pond was quite good. And I'm also interested in the story with the Cybermen. Read one of Neil Gaiman's books and it was really good.
