It certainly is good. And it is set during one of the world wars. A lot of challenges and all kinds of drama and its about publishing/books. Brilliant read.
I'm looking forward to The Host, The Hobbit (next one), The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments (I think it comes out this year) as well as the House of Night movie which I think is out either this year or the year after xD
I love the Penny Vincenzi novels. They're great to read when you get bored of reading the same genres over and over again and just fancy a change. I've read many of them. But I think her trilogy about the Lytton's is by far my favourite as it helped me choose the career I want to go into.
I have breaks occasionally. Sometimes it's just that something else seems more interesting at the time even though I am eager to read my book. I always try and read a bit every few days. But I'm also quite stressed right now and can't focus on reading words where I am doing that for exam revision.
Never heard of it. But will definitely look into it when I next use my Kobo. Thanks!
I might try this sight as well. It'd be nice to find somewhere with good deals.
I have a Kobo Glo. It's got quite a lot of books on the Kobo store which you can log into onto your device or online. And sometimes they do some pretty good deals. It's generally quite good. Battery lasts for quite awhile and you can change the fonts, text and all that jazz. I certainly love it. And no, I don't think you can use the Kobo on Amazon. The Kobo ebooks use the Kobo ePub which is completely different. It's definitely worth getting. Great alternative to a Kindle.
I think I do read a bit faster. I think it's the fact that you can change the font size so it feels like you're reading less and you can't always clearly see the page numbers.
I use the Kobo Glo. I wanted a Kindle (and ironically my Dad got a Kindle Fire even though he barely reads, but probably uses it for apps). It's quite useful and I love reading the free books. Some of them are quite good. Shame I can't get the good deals from Amazon though.
Thanks frankie!
And yeah. My school does 30 minutes of reading every day to try and get students back into reading but I think more and more people are on the internet etc. I mean, I play online games and stuff but sometimes I would just rather read and become someone else for a bit
I'm currently doing my last year of A-Levels before Uni and I'm in the middle of my English Literature exams. Did a retake on Friday for the following:
The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini
The Road - Cormac McCarthy
Keat's Poems
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner - Coleridge
And I have a gothic exam for this year on Thursday (closed book) for:
Macbeth
The Bloody Chamber
The Pardoner's Tale
Dracula
I have to admit that I hate the writing style of Dracula. Hate Macbeth full stop as I'm not a fan of plays. Paronder's Tale is just plain annoying and the Bloody Chamber is okay. xD
I am currently reading the last one. Not that far in but so far it's quite good. I ruined the ending for myself by looking on Wikipedia but there is plenty of pages to keep me entertained. It literally took me months to finish the other 13 last year. I'm kind of glad that this is the end.
I would love to live in the world of The Passage/The Twelve but I'd probably die really quickly. So I would probably be a part of Andor from the Wheel of Time! I want to be an Aes Sedai
I re-read The Passage just before this came out. And I have to agree that I didn't like the jump back to the past at the beginning. But it was definitely interesting when it turned out that they were actually related to characters in the "present day". I absolutely loved these books. The end of The Twelve actually confused me in terms of Carter and Amy and I have to message Justin Cronin to get the information I needed.
I was so glad in terms of Wolgast. I'm sure you know what I mean. I actually cried.
