  1. I've left a comment on your blog too . Good luck with your essay!
  2. I'm sorry this one was a disappointment! It's actually the only Rainbow Rowell book I haven't read yet (out of the books that she currently has out). That said, I read most of her work in earlier years and have grown since then as a reader. Shame the book wasn't enjoyable for you. I'm glad you enjoyed this one! It's on my TBR. I enjoyed The Hobbit quite a bit when I read it, but I'm not sure if I'll ever re-read it. I hope you can get through it this time . I'm currently reading The Kicking the Bucket List by Cathy Hopkins. I'm reading it together with a friend from YouTube, we read about 50ish pages a day (pre-scheduled). It's a nice chick-lit/rom-com book, and I'm liking it a lot so far. I finished my re-read of The Naked God by Peter F. Hamilton (Night's Dawn, #3) two days ago. I really enjoyed re-reading this series.
  3. The Fifth Season by N. K. Jemisin (The Broken Earth, #1)
  4. Another One Bites the Dust ~ Queen
  5. You Don't Know Everything, Jilly P! by Alex Gino
  6. Horizon Storms by Kevin J. Anderson (book 3 in The Saga of the Seven Suns)
  7. This Is Your Night ~ Amber
  8. Your shelves look really nice !!
  9. I really liked the Little House books too! The Painted Man by Peter V. Brett, book #1 in the Demon Cycle (though the US title is The Warded Man, but my UK copy has The Painted Man on it, so I feel it counts?)
  10. Sea of Silver Light (Otherland, book #4) by Tad Williams.
  11. Thanks Chrissy !
  12. Lovely to know what you've been reading ! I've read one novella by Ann Cleeves, called Too Good to Be True (QuickReads). I think it's part of a different series though (Shetland series?), but I did like that one .
  13. I've put your spoiler in spoiler tags. I haven't read The Husband's Secret yet, and I am sorry you spoiled it for me. Please be careful of this in the future. See this post for how to use spoiler tags:
  14. I'm currently reading Peter F. Hamilton - Night's Dawn 3: The Naked God (re-read), which I have been reading for a few weeks now. I'm also reading Meg Wolitzer - The Female Persuasion.
  15. Some book reviews. Phil Earle (ill. Steve May) - Superdad's Day Off (a nice read) Tony De Saulles - Bee Boy 2: Attack of the Zombees (this was enjoyable) Paul van Loon (ill. Hugo van Look) - Dolfje Weerwolfje 19: Dolfje en Noura (liked the 2nd more than the 1rst half) Terri Libenson - Lakefront Middle School 2: Positively Izzy (this ending confused me a bit) Joe Sugg, Amrit Birdi, Matt Whyman, Mindy Lopkin and Joaquin Pereyra - Username 1: Username: Evie Joe Sugg, Amrit Birdi, Matt Whyman, Mindy Lopkin and Joaquin Pereyra - Username 2: Username: Regenerated (these two were nice but not great). Harriet Whitehorn (ill. Becka Moor) - Violet 3: Violet en de Smokkelaars (Violet 3: Violet and the Smugglers) (a nice read) Usborne, Russell Punter, Susanna Davidson, Alex Frith, Lesley Sims, Louie Stowell (ill. Matteo Pincelli, Linda Cavallini, Simona Bursi) - Geïllustreerde Verhalen uit de Griekse Mythologie (Illustrated Stories From the Greek Myths) (the illustrations were nice and it was nice to revisit these myths) Jiami Jongejan and Bouwien Jansen - Niet wat jij denkt (interesting anorexia memoir of a Dutch blogger & YouTuber) Robert Adkinson & Others - Spirituele Symbolen: Volkeren, Religies, Mysteries (Sacred Symbols: Peoples, Religions, Mysteries) (beautiful pictures, felt like it missed some things) Mason Deaver - I Wish You All The Best (I loved this book, non-binary main character Ben gets kicked out of their house by their parents after they come out) Taylor Jenkins Reid - The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (a read out of my comfort zone, historical fiction detailing the life of (ficticious) movie star Evelyn Hugo. LGBT elements).
  16. Great reviews!! I'm glad you enjoyed at least most of these somewhat .
  17. Thanks, it's good to know it was a bit messy. Shame it wasn't a great read .
