Wow... it's the 1rst of January here, 2021. A Happy New Year to everyone!! Time wise my brain is still kind of stuck in early December, even though it is most definitely January 2021 now, at least, in most of the world (just under an hour left for West Coast USA and West Canada, and a little under 2 hours for Alaska). What are you currently reading? Or, if you're not reading any book, what will your next read be?

I have The Body and Wintering both on my TBR (as well as Bill Bryson's At Home and A Really Short History of Nearly Eveyrthing; and by Katherine May I have The Electricity of Every Living Thing). I'm glad you enjoyed both of those reads and gave them 4 stars . I look forward to read your Year in Review post!

Just wanted to post here that it's January 1rst here tomorrow (and the same for some of you!). While for the past week I've been feeling like January 2021, that's still so far away,.. it actually isn't. My perception of time has been so confused and messed up lately. Anyway.. for those interested, the read-a-thon is scheduled for Friday 1rst of January until Monday the 4th of January, so it would finish the end of Monday. I currently don't really feel in the mood, but then it is not yet Jan 1rst. It's probably because I'm going through some difficulties atm, we'll see how things go. To anyone who participates, I wish you happy reading! (And of course a Happy New Year!).

I haven't made my 2021 spreadsheet yet though nor my 'read-in-2021' shelf on GoodReads, or a folder on my computer for 2021's files.

Hi Andrea! Good to see you again . Yes, the forum is sometimes slow for me too. I can't add an embedded URL or an image via the buttons either, it errors for me. I only get my embedded URLs right if I copy them from another thread in which they are already good (from a while ago), or if I edit it in, in Html (which I realise not everyone can do) (rather I copy the code for an already embedded URL and edit that). Yes, I think we are on an older version of the software and the issue(s) should hopefully be fixed once the update has been done. That sounds great! Fingers crossed for after the 3rd .

The Charming Man was my first (and so far only) Marian Keyes read, and I really liked it. Great review! Which other book by her have you read? I should read some more of her books some time, I have been meaning to but haven't yet (sometimes there are other books I feel more in the mood for, or that are shorter, or whatever).
