  1. Honestly? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I've never mourned a book's (series') end as much as that. Nothing can compare.
  2. I love Boris and Odin and all of your guys' pets! Winny has decided any time I MOVE in the middle of the night means "Treat Wench is up, SHE MUST PET ME NAO! And, if she refuses, I SHALL MEOW AT HER UNTIL SHE CALLS ME A NAUGHTY WORD AND THROWS MY MOUSIE!" I've been up since 12:30am. Not. Kidding. He woke me and I just couldn't get back to sleep.
  3. LOL! It was posted in an IRC chat I op by a friend from Germany who couldn't stop watching. At one point (when I posted this) there was a guy with a little surfboard. I have no idea why its so amusing, but the commentary on the left hand side was mostly why I had it up so long!
  4. I have no idea why I've spent the last 30 minutes watching this link of people in Newcastle attempting to cross a puddle, but I have. It is captivating and I do not know why. Click Me I could have read at least 3 chapters by now.
  5. Hey Frankie! Winston is doing well. He gave me some sweet cuddles and a kitty "massage" a little bit ago. I got a video of him "massaging" my arm that I'll probably upload to Instagram later.
  6. Read 2 chapters of The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
  7. Welcome, BookBug! I saw yesterday that George R. R. Martin missed his deadline for the newest GoT book and now it won't come out until after season 6 of the show premiers! Gives me a little more time to get caught up, but other fans don't seem to be all that happy.
  8. Yeah, I love horror but not the shock value gore kind. I love the mind games kind of horror that really makes you think. Like, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Its just all blood, no real plot. I'm hoping they do this one well because its been a while since I've seen a good horror with a plot.
  9. I've been up since around 1:30am. Some drunk guy in Texas kept calling me (he's called 5 times) for a ride home from the bar. I did block his number, finally. I'm hyped up on coffee and about to dig into some cleaning since a friend is coming over later to write. I'm hoping to borrow the Harry Potter books from her so I can do a marathon reread of them. I've been craving reading them all night long!
  10. Hey VF!! Yeah, the main reason PP&Z is on my list is because I want to see it before the film drops. I missed the ball on some amazing recent book to movie stories (I love the Hunger Games and Divergent series' but refuse to read the books now until I see the last film... been waiting SO LONG!)
  11. Look at how organized you are!!! Hope you have a great 2016 full of wonderful bookish travels!
  12. From what I've seen, that seems to be the style I admit, I haven't seen much, but one of my ex bf's was a huuuge comic guy. I want to see strong, amazing women (like Leia. I couldn't believe how totally bad*** she was when I watched Star Wars for the first time. I'd always thought she was a damesl because all I'd really known of her was the bikini scene). Now, because I saw how she holds her own and isn't afraid to fight, I want to read/see more. (Bad example since its film vs comics, but you get what I mean.) Hopefully you can find some good GN's with female characters you enjoy reading!
  13. Thanks guys <3 May 2016 be the year of the BOOKWORM! Hopefully we can all devour as many books as possible.
  14. LOL, Its hard to keep track sometimes! Every time I've made a thread for the new year on this forum I've given up a few months in on keeping it properly updated. This year I plan to try my hardest and get involved at the library, even. If my reading mojo is being finnicky, I plan to borrow books on CD there! I love your thread on reading graphic novels, Michelle. I have a couple, but I'm not really that into anime or super hero ones, so I have Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility as a GN, lol. The other is a super cutesy angel manga that I can't remember the name of but bought because the art was so beautiful. I do own Watchmen but couldn't get more than a few pages into it. It just wasn't my sort of thing.
  15. After looking at some of your TBR piles, mine doesn't seem as big anymore.
  16. That's awesome! With a price like that (mine is only 10.00 a month and there's no long term contract) you really can't NOT do it! I'm thinking of going in a few hours. I'd like to get in there and get my key (I signed up online) before the rush of New Years Resolutionists head there.
  17. I just had to watch The Holiday again last night for the 1,000th time. I think I've watched it 5 times in the last 2 weeks. Right now I have Insurgent on but I'm not far enough in yet to form an opinion.
  18. Wow, you have quite a list there already! Happy reading!
  19. Great idea! I'm hoping to finish The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh this weekend and start An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir.
  20. I joined a gym yesterday! Its only a block from my apartment so I plan to walk over in a bit and check everything out.
  21. Thanks Lara! Noll, the curse word pages are on Etsy! I bought one of them (you can buy them as a lot to download or page by page) and loooove it. The "phrase" is the one you wrote in my Christmas card if you can remember.
  22. Its not too bad today. -3 c, but its only 8:25 am and that is our high for the day. Looks like it'll be nice and sunny!
  23. They really are! I follow both authors and they have such awesome personalities, too. An Ember in the Ashes is by far one of the most beautiful book covers I've seen in a while.
