Kylie Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Are these books historical fiction or straight up non-fiction? Quote
Kirstykat Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 These are wonderful works of historical fiction - when you read them, you can tell that an awful lot of research has gone into them - hence there is normally at least 4 or 5 years between releases!! Quote

Iagegu Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 (edited) Winter Solstice by Rosamunder Pilcher 698 pages. Just thought i let you guys know. This must be one of my favourite books. It does not matter how many times I read it, it is as though I am reading it for the first time. Perhaps a re-read for over christmas?? I don't think I should have looked at this list. As if I have not got enough to read. Diana Gabbaldon outlander series i am sure all books are over 500 pages. I love these books. Some of them are over 1000 pages. Can't wait to start the next one. When I began CrossStitch it took me at least two attempts to get into it. Since then I have not been able to put the books down. Absolutely fantastic and come highly recommended from me. Weighs in at 976 pages in hardback , and isn't a difficult read at all - well written and very interesting throughout. Quote

jankensan Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 IT is a really interesting novel. I always think it's more like a trilogy within one book. There are definite moments when you think --- OK this is now a new arc to the story. The ending was not what I was expecting at all, but well worth sticking with it. Quote
Maureen Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 The new Harry Potter book is 608 pages according to amazon. And if you put them, one on top each other, that will give you around half a metre of Harry Potter! One nice doorstep(or coach step) there!! Quote
