  8. Hi Mac

You are most definately not rude and now I'm slow too respond! We' re going to be apologising 4ever at this rate hee hee! Coben is very skilled I agree but maybe overplays the "twist" angle in a lot of his books though- I think if you realise there is probabbly a twist coming in the novel you tend to try and guess it! How are you anyway?

  9. I read the second book first so dont worry!- I love this series of books!
  10. Apparantly they are making a tv series of these books with Anna Paquin as the lead. I need to start to read them before I get a picture of the characters in my head!

  15. Have you read Tell No One? Thats the best Harlan Coben!
  16. I'm glad you liked this! i really enjoyed it but it got a luke warm response from my friends who had read it- they didnt like it as much as his other books! Have you read The Straw Men? It was a littlwe to creepy at times though! Scared me before I went to sleep!
  17. I wonder who had the idea first!
  18. Gory indeed. It is about body snatchers after all!
  19. The End Of Mr Y-Scarlett Thomas This was an unusual, original, thrilling novel and i really enjoyed it! I have got to admit (like a few people on here I can see!) some of the physics went a little over my head but I really liked disapearing into a completely different world. Its definately not an easy read but I liked the challanging nature of it although I do think the book occasionally gets caught up in its own cleverness I thought that Ariel was an interesting character- she is quite a damaged, self destructive person- but i did root for her and the love story part of the novel
  20. I actually enjoyed it more! I read these two the wrong way around so I didnt actually realise untill the end of the book how crafty/creepy she had been! Its told from her point of view so you can see how much in love wiith George Boleyn she aws and how left out she felt of the glamorous Boleyn trio! The portrayl of Katherine Howard is very good as well I have this book if you would like to borrow it?
  21. My Side Of The Story- Will Davis Jarold, aka, Jazz, is a typical sixteen year old boy. He lives at home with his two remarkably un-divorced parents, his holier-than-thou sister, and his overbearing grandmother. It
  22. Welcome! The shardlake series by C.J Sansom are good medieval thrillers/murder mysteries!
  23. The Next book is really good as well "The Boleyn Inheritance"- its told from the viewpoint of George Boleyns wife Jane and takes place during Henrys courtship of katherine howard.
