JudyB Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Ah...I see. Thanks Judy . Can I add you to my watching list? Yes, thank you - haven't picked up on the 'watching' element yet though. I had sent a message to the site improvements thread on Library Thing suggesting a wish list section and it turns out they are working on one. Having since however worked out a solution I'm happy with that. I've worked out that if I tag my wishlist books and then click on wishlist it isolates them onto one page - had a thought then that I could print it and use it as a book shopping list. Oh my geeky side is starting to expose its self!!! Quote
Purple Poppy Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 No. its a really good idea. Thank you for sharing it with us. I would have thought a wish list was more relevant to send to your mobile, if you're stuck infront of a shelf in the bookshop, wondering whats on your list! I will put some of mine down, tag them as you suggest and see what happens. Thanks Judy. Quote
princessponti Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 This is really exciting! I've just looked at it now and have put on the four books that are in the room with me (too lazy to go downstairs!!).. can't wait to put the rest on.. what a great idea! Quote
princessponti Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 ooo.. there is a person with four of my books in their library.. and they are called 'SilverWraith' I thought it may be Wraith's Dad (as in a silver fox).. but I've checked, and it's a Wraith of the female variety... Quote
mrstrecool Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 I've been adding my books to Library Thing this morning. I use my other alter ego on there - agentscully!! I can't believe how easy it is to use. It has made me realise how many of my books I haven't actually read yet though! Quote
Purple Poppy Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Mrstrecool said I can't believe how easy it is to use. It has made me realise how many of my books I haven't actually read yet though! I am the same. I'm amazed at the number of books I haven't read yet, and want to re-read some that I read as a child.I'm going to adopt Judy's method of tagging my TBRs and I think that will push the number on Mount TBR into the clouds! I will add you to my watch list and leave you a message when I go on later Mrstrecool. Quote
The Library Nook Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 What a good idea, now I need to have the energy to put all my books in there! Thanks for the heads up about it. Quote
princessponti Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 MOTMPP, my id is the same as here! I'm nothing but predictable! I have no alter ego aside from this one... Quote
Icecream Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I've just got round to joining this, however, it will take me rather a long time to catalogue my books etc. I have lot's of other things to do. In fact I should be cleaning the kitchen instead of roaming around here.. Quote
Kell Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I've just added you to my ever-growing watch list, Icecream. Quote
Icecream Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Thanks. I'll get round to adding you guys some day too. Quote
Purple Poppy Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I've just added you too! Well i hope it was you...unless Kell knows several Icecreams! Quote
Kell Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Nope, just the one. There were several variations listed, but only one who had just joined today, so I figured that was the Icecream we all knew. Quote
madcow Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I've just created my list, looks like it could be fun! (But it could take me a while to list everything!!!) Quote
Nici Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Oh! I didn't even know this thread existed! I have done one, It's in my signature. I think this will be a very useful site! Quote
happyanddandy Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Has anyone got a book listed on Librarything that nobody else has got? I have one! Quote
Nici Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Has anyone got a book listed on Librarything that nobody else has got? I have one! Have you? That's quite an achievement!!! Do you mind sharing with us what it is? :eek2: Quote
happyanddandy Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Have you? That's quite an achievement!!! Do you mind sharing with us what it is? :eek2: Its called The 'Triplet Diaries' by Jackie Clune - a documntary about her pregnancy, birth and the first year of having triplets. I enjoyed it very much but obviously not everybody does! Quote
madcow Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 How do you know? Sorry it might sound like a dumb question. Quote
happyanddandy Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 How do you know? Sorry it might sound like a dumb question. If you click onto one of your books the 'social data' words appear - scroll down to the bottom of the page and it will list how many and who has the same book as you! Quote
Nici Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 It would seem as if I am the only person who has "The know" by Martina Cole! Quote
