I liked rounders, i did the whole trick of hitting someone in the face with a swing of the bat  and my friend did the whole trick of getting the bat flung into his face from an over enthusiastic runner! Rounders was great!

Bean bags for bases  People say school was the best days of your lives and i always laughed but i'd love to go back and have a game of rounders

I'm not sure how the Giants are doing in their division, Ned, but they play the 'Skins tomorrow night so that should be a good game to watch!

Probably only see the highlights during the week

I remember those bean bags! In P.E sometimes in primary school, everyone would rush in and whatever you grabbed from the storage room, you were left with for the lesson. Guess who ended up with the beanbag numerous times? Oh the fun!

The amount of times i turned around to see a giant orange basketball come flying up to meet my face was terrible!

I'm kinda annoyed i didn't steal any bean bags now.

You didn't do it? You must be in the minority.

"What is this?"

"Nothing mum, just something i bought with my pocket money"

"Why has it got Ebrington written on it in permanent marker?"

"That's it's name. duh"

I should have stole loads of stuff because my high school was bulldozed the year i left it was so terrible

Lucky, most kids get to burn their tie, you got to watch your school being bulldozed. Someone stole all the the glass from the school greenhouse when i was in third year, he was an instant legend. David Robson, i will never forget that

Stole all the glass? How'd he manage that  There was this one guy in my school, he'd go into the back of the canteen and steal us all a can haha. He also stole

Posted

I don't know how the hell he done it but i will never forget the assembly where the headmaster told us about theft and then after school old Davy took us to the shed in what used to be a mechanics behind the school and there was dozens of panes of glass  Serious legend.

No no, from HIS mum's purse  We didn't even know until a teacher came two days later and asked us whether we knew anything about him having any strange money on him haha. And LOL hording glass, that's a great idea!

Posted

I should get in touch with him and go and look in that shed to see if the glass is still there  The shed is still there, i pass it on my way to work

I wonder if he made a greenhouse from it or something productive? I don't know how this relates to watching anything, i am watching memories of high school randomness in my head right now

Yeah, as much as i hated it, school rocked. Nothing will ever beat the day i told one of my teachers to ''go hmmm himself" 3 weeks detention and a note home to my ma but well worth it, that man was a bully

Posted

Haha! Well this absolutely stuck up, arrogant and bullying art teacher stood over a little jerk in the school front car park, who'd just been beat up himself for once and was moaning, and he goes 'Serves you right you little ****!!' and walks off LOL

School holidays? I remember in primary school (which was actually a really good school) we went to... Scarborough!! And then my only holiday in high school was to Calais in France, what a dump we stayed in  All the other kids in other schools got to go to Paris or Rome, or the rich kids to California and Iceland, i got Scarborough and Calais in youth hostels!

I was "lucky" enough that i got to go to Guernsey every summer for 8 years with a weekend in France ,which involved staying at a hotel near the docks so we didn't miss the boat back.

I love the convenience present in school holidays
