Wow I hope that doesn't happen.

For one, if it doesn't have the entire original cast, it's not Twilight.

For another, the story has four books. It's done. It's dusted. Until Steph writes more the story is complete.

I hate spin-offs from completed entities.

Nah, I don't think he's going to do it, whatever Summit may hope for.

As I watched NM last night, I wanted to lay my thoughts here.

To begin with, I enjoyed the film (far) more than the book. And I don't understand why it got so much bashing! The direction was good (maybe I liked Hardwicke better, but Weitz still did a really good job), the two leads delivered once more, Launter was OK, Sheen played really well his part, and the rest of the cast was good, too.

The script had some drawbacks, as it kept some of the cheesy dialogue of the book, but there were some good things about it (f.e. they made Jacob more sympathetic).

Moving to more "technical parts", the special effects were great, as well as the cinematography. I love the songs used, and I thought that Desplat's music was really good, too.

Some random thoughts, not really important: I liked how Weitz made the October-November..etc. scene, I was thinking about it when I was going to see it. But I would have made the diving scene differently.

The TV in the Swan's house seemed more expensive than they could probably afford?

Bella seemed quite stylish at some parts' I mean, she's supposed to be uninterested in fashion.

Her hair was actually a wig I believe. She was simotaniously shooting a movie in which she was playing Joan Jett so she had to cut her hair into a mullet and dye it black.

I read that somewhere too CaliLily, the wig did look good

I'd be surprised if RP did the television spinoff. It'd be weird to have just him and none of the rest of the cast from the films, and man, if he doesn't end up being typecast after these 4 Twi films he certainly would be after doing TV. I love vampire shows just as much as the next person, but Vampire Diaries and True Blood is enough for now, geez.

I like that avvie, Noll, his face looks exactly like that's what he's saying .

Glad you liked the film, Dimitra! Was it your first time seeing it? I agree about Weitz, he did an amazing job imo. I did notice some of that cheesy dialogue when I saw it again yesterday, and I must admit I was cringing a bit. I also had a hard time with

Alice's entrance into the clock tower (breaking the door), coming in whilst taking off her sunglasses and scarf saying "come on guys." That was a bit much for me, lol.

I loved the Oct-Nov-Dec scene too, and I read last night that

also during that part, every time the camera goes around Bella a photo from the wall is removed. Not sure if it's a photo of Edward or ? I'm kicking myself for not noticing it though after 3 viewings!

Right, before I get into my ditherings over NM I'd just like to reassure everyone that it hasn't taken a week for me to become coherent again, I've just had a lot going on :)

Oh oh oh, I forgot to say - Jasper looks amazing in this movie. He's not in it much I know, but he's (by miles) the most inhuman looking person in the entire gang. He just LOOKS evil - and I love it. He's still the hottest by miles.

As we all know, I *heart* Jackson but yet again they made him look stupid with his poor hair :motz:Personally, I think Rob asked them to do that because he thinks Jackson is too hot :)

I'm going to see this on Wednesday

Yay  You'll love it!

I think I picked the best night to go, we got there early and because of pregnant sister and my limping/walking with a stick we got escorted in and shown to the best seats! When the film started there was lots of whooping and then it was deathly silent - no screaming tweens, nothing. I was slightly concerned there were several small children that appeared to be 8 or under, considering the film didn't finish until 11.30pm. When Jacob & the wolf pack appeared sans shirts nearly everyone shouted "put your shirts back on" and booed :) The entire audience appeared to be Team Edward!!! There was certainly no Jacob love going on and there were quite a few (male) voices shouting "get a life Jake" at the almost-slushy moments.

And of course it was always Edward, Jake knew that but is a spoilt kid who wants what he can't have.

Will be back later with more - not typing well just now as I have a splint on my wrist...

I'm really desperate to see it again but apparently our pokey little cinema doesn't have wheelchair access to the screen where it's showing and I'll be in one for up to 6 weeks after my surgery on Tuesday so not happy :)

I'm glad you came back to share your thoughts, Fi! I was getting worried that you loved it a bit too much and were just hanging out in a sparkly daze :).

Come back and let us know what your fave and not-so-fave parts were, and good luck on Tuesday!

Lexie, I can't help it! For some reason new converts make me very emotional :).

I thought his hair was awesome lol, messy and bleached looking. I thought he looked a bit crazy, actually, which I like. If he got more screentime I bet Jackson could make the character genuinely unsettling to watch.

That's terrible. I hated Jake for the longest time, (I decided that before I read the books and didn't give him a chance) and thought I would hate this movie as a result, but it was the movie that changed my mind, and now having re-read New Moon I'm completely on Jake's side - Edward is a big pansy who can't deal with a little hardship even though the solution is OBVIOUS and ends up happening ANYWAY so about two and a bit books were a waste of time.

Jake on the other hand is in very real danger of hurting her because he is her natural enemy. Course, due to Ed being a pansy, it takes a while for the enemy bit to become literal, but it is in her nature from the beginning. He actually has something to deal with and overcome, which is more than Ed has really.

Plus, everyone seems to forget that while Ed is 110 and Bella acts about 30, Jake IS only 16. For a 16 year old typical male who is dealing with being a monster, I don't think he acts all that spoilt. I can actually completely relate to him,and in no way to Bella or Edward.

I really hope he won't do it, because he'll make me lose my good opinion of him, I mean it will be like "LET'S MAKE SOME MORE MONEY!". Like my brother said, if he respects himself, he won't do it.

I never EVER watch a film twice on cinema, no matter how much I liked it!
