Kate Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 HAHAHA, that's so random, and I can honestly say I never noticed that I did lol! And yeah I noticed he was suddenly very smartly dressed...odd Quote
Kimmy619 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 It didn't look bad or anything. Just very different from his dress sense in Twilight which was more t-shirts and over shirts. He seems to dress as if he is older in New Moon. Quote
Peacefield Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Mipple-Gate! Those peeps are too funny. I noticed the dressing differently thing too, and I liked it . Well, except for the oddly placed Bella and Ed running through Alice's vision in what looked to be period clothing . I'm mad. I was awake in the middle of the night last night and thought of a couple random scenes/things that annoyed me and now I can't think of them. Oh I remember one! What was with Jacob speaking a different language to Bella? Was it supposed to be something in Quilluete? How are we supposed to translate that to figure out what he said? Did anyone else catch this? I'll try to think of these other things and come back to post them. Quote

I noticed he did just before he goes to kiss her in the kitchen before Edward rings, I did wonder about that too, it seemed so random Quote
Weave Posted November 23, 2009 Author Posted November 23, 2009 I noticed too peacefield and lexie, I imagine it was Quilluete but subtitles would have helped, I forgot about that, this thread reminds me of certain things in the film, so thanks ladies x Quote
Kimmy619 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I noticed that too! I guess that it was something like I love you? Seems to fit, but who knows! Quote
Weave Posted November 23, 2009 Author Posted November 23, 2009 I noticed that too! I guess that it was something like I love you? Seems to fit, but who knows! It was a lovely thought but seriously Chris Weitz, I have one complaint ~ please include subtitles when necessary! We will have the subtitles now on watching the DVD and there will be a collective 'Awwww', I am sure all will be revealed in the dvd commentary. Quote
Peacefield Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Okay, so I really should be working, but now this is bothering me! Half the people at the Yahoo! question/answer site say that Jacobs says 'I love you' to Bella in the kitchen. The other half think he says 'stay with me forever.' Either way I'm nauseous! Here is a link to an article where apparently Taycob is being very secretive about what he really said: http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1626466/story.jhtml Meanwhile, I'm going to try and track down a Quileute dictionary! Oh, and the commentary? RP better be on it. He's just too hilarious not to be. Quote
Charm Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Hmmm .. thinking of going to see this some time this week, do you all think the screamers would have been all screamed out by now? Might just wait for it on DVD ... not sure what to do Quote

Might just wait for it on DVD ... not sure what to do Wait for it on DVD?? Silly, silly, Charm! I think that if you go to a daytime show when you know the screaming tweens are in school that you should be safe. Plus, if you go see it then you can add your thoughts to our collective squee-ings! chesilbeach Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 (edited) Hmmm .. thinking of going to see this some time this week, do you all think the screamers would have been all screamed out by now? Might just wait for it on DVD ... not sure what to do You should go to the cinema to see it! I missed Twilight at the cinema due to other commitments, and although I love it on DVD, I regret not being able to have found the time to have experienced it on the big screen, especially after seeing New Moon last week. I went on the first day to a lunchtime screening of New Moon, and although the cinema was nearly full, there were no screaming fangirls (there were teenagers in there, so it wasn't just that they were at school, even if they should have been), and am really glad I made the effort. In fact, I'm probably going to try and go again this Friday afternoon as well, to maximise my big screen viewings of it before it comes out on DVD. ETA: Meant to say as well, if you go to see it at the cinema, and it is filled with screaming girls, you will still be able to enjoy it when it comes out on DVD, however, if you wait for the DVD, you'll never be able to go back and see it on the big screen as it was meant to be viewed. Isn't there a famous saying about regret the things you did, not the things you didn't do? Edited November 23, 2009 by chesilbeach Quote

Peacefield Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I feel the same way about missing the first movie in the theatres Chesil, which is another reason why I really want to maximize my theatre viewing with NM (amoung other reasons of course ). Ditto on the commentary, Weave. RP makes me crack up when I hear him say "oh, naughty" and "cheeseburgers!" I read this today at hollywood.com/boxoffice about NM's box office success and thought it was pretty cool! Starting with Quote
Nollaig Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I'm hopefully going to see this on Wednesday! Quote

Peacefield Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Woo-hoo Noll!! I hope you get to see it Wed . Keep us posted! Yes Weave, I do believe we deserve a BCF hug for our efforts. It's only fair after all! I thought of two things on my drive home from work tonight. Yes, I am clearly a loser but that is not one of them, ha-ha! What exactly was that little flippy jump thing that Alice did over the railing at school? I mean, I know she's quick on her feet but was she just showing off or what? Oh, and I thought the almost-holding-hands thing between Bella and Taycob at the theatre was so cute and awkward! Loved the way Bella shut him down. Quote

I mean, I know she's quick on her feet but was she just showing off or what? I thought that too, way to go to keep yourself inconspicuous. I also had a thought about when Bella says to Jasper about his emotion fiddling, I think it's meant to be that he was making Bella feel calm and agree to the party as she says it just after the party conversation with Alice Quote
Weave Posted November 24, 2009 Author Posted November 24, 2009 Maybe Alice was just really excited about Bella's birthday and just forgot herself briefly and jumped over a bannister as you do, in the middle of school. I wish it had not been so random with Bella mentioning Jasper's powers, I suppose they did it on the fact that all the fans who have read the books know this already but there might be people who don't, unless of course it was mentioned in a deleted scene in 'Twilight' about Jasper's powers but for the life of me, I don't remember seeing a scene like that, oh man, I am thinking about this too much, I need a job Quote
Peacefield Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 The only time I remember Jasper's 'calming powers' being mentioned in Twilight was in one of the bonus behind-the-scenes featurettes on the DVD. Good news, peeps! I just saw a little interview clip with Chris Weitz at MTV where he says about the DVD - "There will be a commentary track," Weitz revealed, saying that he'll soon head into the recording booth with his three big stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. "It'll just be us riffing off each other in our intimate way," he grinned. "We kind of like each other, so that should be fun." Yay!! Sounds like it should be hilarious! Quote

Kimmy619 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I actually cannot wait to listen to the DVD! It will be really interesting to hear what they all have to say about a few of the really cheesy moments. I am really looking forward to Eclipse Quote
Stephanie2008 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I'm going to see it on Thursday or Friday - officially the longest wait in history :exc::) Quote
