Maureen Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Stop that!!!! Care for a little glass or two or three of wine. I'm having coffee right now! (Cause I have a little quirk - I only drink wine before I eat!) Quote
JohnT Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 A friend of mine at another site posted it and said it was a good site, and thus I checked it out and like it. Thats my story and I am sticking to it............................ Quote

Gti-Chick Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I followed a link posted at Madlassgrin.co.uk Quote
Dupin Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 I discovered this site (about four days ago) via a bunch of keywords punched into Google! If I'm not mistaken the words were 'book' and 'forum' (strangely enough) and the link was about three pages in. I recall looking several years back for exactly this kind of site but back then I unwisely searched via the word 'reading' which promptly took me to a forum about all things concerning the place in Berkshire. And yes, that is true! I soon realised my mistake and declined to register Quote
Wraith* Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I believe I whacked "Book Club Forum" into Google and ended up here. Shock horror. Pretty glad I did. Have been reading alot of books that I wouldn't have normally touched otherwise. And some of you have forced me to made me want to start writing for myself Quote
Wraith* Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Some kind of emotional blackmail. Hmm the strikethrough HTML tags don't seem to work :odd: Quote
Michelle Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 I don't think I've ever seen strikethrough BB on here.. maybe it's a custom add where you've used it? Quote

Polka Dot Rock Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 A similar situation to me: once I came home for my year out, I found that I could read all the books I wanted to... But had no-one to talk about them with! It's funny really, as many people were speculating about the internet being the death knell for the poor old fashioned book, but it's actually given it a whole new lease of life! A solitary pursuit has now become a social one, because of sites like this. And a very good thing it is too Quote
Captiva Dreaming Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Being a lover of books,(even the smell and feel of them) and having no-one in particular to discuss them with, started *Googling* to see if there was a nice group to join... and here you were -- all I had to do then, was be brave enough to click *register* done!!!...easy peasy!!!
