He looks very nice, but IMHO he is waaaaaaaaay to young. Terry is a Vietnam Vet and would certainly be much older than this delightful chap

I think they made him look slightly older in the series Kimmy, I agree, he is nice :motz:

In the TV show, didn't they mention something about Terry being a Gulf War vet? Seems like I heard that on an episode.

Even if he was in the Gulf War and that would make it okay for him to be so young in the TV-series, I just think it's cheating for the sake of more eyecandy, that Terry isn't in his forties or fifties like he is in the books. I'm saying this even though I'm quite fancying the TV Terry :D (And by the way thank you Gyre for that pic :smile2::motz:)

I agree :D I always pictured Terry a lot older in the books and was quite shocked by how young he was in the show. Not that I mind, but I agree that I think they just did it for the eye-candy :smile2:

Well I never really realised the eye candy potential of Terry with Eric lurking but now you come to mention it, he does have a bit of something :smile2: Maybe not as much as Eric but definitley more than Andy :motz: (Poor Andy! He's canny really!)

I always thought Terry was older in the books, I can't remember if Sookie said he had been in the vietnam war, I know she said he had 'dark thoughts', I felt so sorry for him in the book but its good that in the show they are putting more to his character, the same as Lafayette :motz:.

I went home to Cornwall to visit relatives this weekend, and when talking to my brother, he mentioned True Blood! It really suprised me, as he is a solicitor and usually quite serious! The phenomenon is spreading....!! :irked:

I don't know anyone else who likes it  Apart from on here of course. Maybe it will get more popular if it is shown on Channel 4 :irked: I hope they don't wait too long to show series 2.

I agree it is. My OH who HATES reading loves the Sookie Stackhouse series of books and is obessed with the show. He watches it in America and says that he is missing it already. He keeps telling me to hurry up and watch it so were are at exactly the same point so when I next go over there next, we can watch them all together.

I agree though some people who you would not believe would watch something like this are loving it. It's great. hopefully will make some people read the books and make them love reading in general.

I have a couple of offline friends who love True Blood. One of them told me about the show and then I proceeded to tell her they were actually books first so she went and read all 7 of them, LOL. My other friend started watching TB at my urging and hopefully will start the first book soon. :irked:

I had been on to a very good friend of mine to watch True Blood for ages (I just knew she'd love it :irked:). She had recorded it on Sky plus but how ever hard I tried I couldn't get her motivated to watch it . She's also a reader and as her mojo had up and gone I recommended the Sookie books. Sooo, we were in town together one day and she bought the first three books :irked:, needless to say I haven't seen or heard much of her lately apart from the odd phone call saying 'OMG these are so good!' or 'I can't get my head out of these books, I've got nothing done!' I think she's well and truly hooked!! :D

I wish I was just reading the books for the first time. At least the short stories come out next month :irked: and the next novel not long after that  I might have to reread the books again shortly. It's the last episode of the first series on Friday on FX :D

I am scared to admit this but my husband is a bigger fan than me!, he complains if we go out on a Friday night! :irked:

My OH loves it too (I wonder why :irked:). It must be the only series he has suggested watching again and he never does that!
