Owen Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Hey folks, I need your help! I need to refresh my Ipods library and I'm turning to you, yes you, the people of the book club forum to aid me in this endeavor. I like most rock, heavy rock and metal. I like some oldies, classic rock n roll and the like. I'm willing to give almost anything a go. Any suggestions? Quote
Kylie Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 The Beatles! I'd give you more recommendations but all I can think of at the moment is: The Beatles! Quote
Andaira Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) Nightwish Nickelback Anata Within Temptation Shinedown Slipknot Metallica Opeth Tarot Led Zeppelin Bob Seger Alright, that's all that comes to mind at the moment. Hope it helps some . Edited February 11, 2009 by Andaira Quote

Kylie Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Oh no! You're lucky I like you, Poppy! I wouldn't let anyone else get away with saying that! By a happy coincidence, I'm currently wearing a Beatles t-shirt. Quote
bethany725 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I hope you made it out of there before she could slap you, Poppy! I'm not too big on classic rock, etc, so the best I can offer is AC/DC, Blind Melon (although it's a little more mellow, yes?), and Nirvana. I don't know if even ONE of those bands would help you out, but wanted to try to think for you. Maybe you could also look into Jim Morrison, & The Doors? Is that helpful? I am clueless... Quote
SaraPepparkaka Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 There's this Danish group, Volbeat. I have enjoyed listening to them recently. Quote
Roland Butter Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 (anything except the Beatles *runs for cover to avoid Kylie's slap* ) Seconded. Never understood all the hysteria. Why this obsession with the Beatles, Kylie, when there's so much musical talent in Australia? Rolf Harris, for one .... Quote

Kylie Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I hope you made it out of there before she could slap you, Poppy! Luckily I'm a non-violent person so Poppy didn't need to run away Seconded. Never understood all the hysteria. Why this obsession with the Beatles, Kylie, when there's so much musical talent in Australia? Rolf Harris, for one .... Why do I get the feeling you're taking the mickey, Roland? I could try to explain the appeal of The Beatles but then I'd never shut up. You either get it or you don't I guess. Not everyone can have great taste in music. As an aside, I have a recording of The Beatles singing Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport with Rolf Harris. So if the great Rolf Harris likes The Beatles, then they must be all right! Definately The Beatles (sorry Roland, Poppy) Yay! Go Ernie! Quote
