Raingirl Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hello from Ireland! I have always been a keen reader and was given a Sony Reader for my birthday last month. I am thoroughly enjoying reading all sorts of books on it, from Aesops Fables to The Picture Of Dorian Gray to the one I am currently reading, Once in a House on Fire. Some of my favourite books are Papillon by Henri Charriere, Hood by Emma Donoghue and Spies by Michael Frayn. I am happy to have joined this forum and look forward to sharing news of books with everyone. Quote
Ceinwenn Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hi Raingirl! Where in Ireland are you, if you don't mind me asking? Welcome to the forum! Quote
Raingirl Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Thanks for the welcome. Ceinwenn, I am in the lovely County Mayo on the West Coast. Quote
Ceinwenn Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Ah, I am always curious when I hear people are from Ireland. I used to live there (in Co. Kerry) & I guess I miss it a lot! Quote
Raingirl Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 County Kerry is beautiful. I have been there to stay a few times and have a soft spot for Dingle, home of Fungi the dolphin. I can understand why you would miss it. I hope you get back for visits often. Quote
