BattyOldMaid Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Garlic mushrooms in creamy sauce and fresh french bread. I think I'll add a finely sliced cabbage to mine.
Chrissy Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Beef Stir Fry! Quick, healthy and (the way I cook it) fiery!
lexiepiper Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I think I'm going to have cheese salad pittas
Ceinwenn Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I've ordered pizza (Really wish I could find a pizza place that does wholewheat base, like pizza pizza in Canada does) & coleslaw & 7up. Bad day, don't want to cook!
Heather Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Bangers and mash:character0104: yummy:mrgreen:
KW Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Going out for dinner...and I'm thinking Italian...
Nollaig Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Ah yum Rawr! I think I will make a proper dinner - mash (gravy optional) stuffing, chicken in batter and some bread.
BookBee8 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Mash seems a popular choice tonight! I haven't actually had any dinner tonight, I fell asleep after pigging out on a late lunch and I'm not hungry yet.
Nollaig Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Mash is just sorta Rawr's and my thing. We both pretty much think there's a God of Mash who should be worshipped
Ceinwenn Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 We both pretty much think there's a God of Mash who should be worshipped My OH would heartily agree!
BookBee8 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Oh right! I am a fan of Mash although I don't eat it that much. I smother it in ketchup or gravy, yum.
BattyOldMaid Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Eurgh, not keen on mash. I think both my mother and the school put me off with all those lumps in it. When I do make it I love it with sausages and onion gravy or in shepherds pie. When I do make mash, I make them oh so smooth and creamy, but memories linger so I don't tend to have them that all often. Same with semolina, can't have them, I gag at the thought never mind putting a spoonful in my mouth! I made creamy garlic mushroom which went down very well and really tasted nice. Very easy to make. Even the kids liked it! Batty
BookBee8 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 *Shudders* I'm the same about the lumps, I hate lumpy Mash. It has to be lump-free!
Peacefield Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Stopped at the store on the way home from work today and treated myself to a frozen pizza. Nice treat, eh? Well it was cheap and it'll give me leftovers for lunch tomorrow, so I can't lose.
Rawr Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Mash is just sorta Rawr's and my thing. We both pretty much think there's a God of Mash who should be worshipped ahaha! True, true. I am about to carve an idol out of a potato for him so that i may have lump-free mash for eternity.
Nollaig Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 ahaha! True, true. I am about to carve an idol out of a potato for him so that i may have lump-free mash for eternity. Awesome! Today I'm probably going to have... gasp... mash...
Stephanie2008 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Chinese takeaway - beef and blackbean with rice
Chrissy Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Mash is just sorta Rawr's and my thing. We both pretty much think there's a God of Mash who should be worshipped Hey, there are many who worship at that altar! tonight B-I-L is cooking, so I have no idea, but it should be good - he usually does a ton of veg, no matter what the meal!
Kell Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 I'm having a delicious Higgidy Skinny Butternut Squash & Red Pepper Pie with baby potatoes and a green salad of rocket, watercress and baby spinach with feta cheese. Gorgeous! And Dale has requested my authentic Turkish kofte with cheese, so I'm obliging, since he's a lovely hubby and daddy and he built Xander's high chair today.
BookBee8 Posted February 28, 2009 Posted February 28, 2009 Lucky duck! I was supposed to be giving them up for Lent...
