WW2artist Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Hello! I'm new to the site and thought it only polite to introduce myself. I'm 36 and a reading junkie. I've also been working on my own novel for the last 6 years and am at the editing stage. I'm a professional artist by trade and work with graphite and acrylics (the avatar is one of mine). Bookwise I'm very much into WW2 aviation, especially memoirs. Also love supernatural and action/thrillers. However, I'm open to anything that will inspire and enthrall me. Anyway, that's about it foks. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask. Quote
bookwormmum Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 I'm new too and everyone has been really friendly. Quote

poppy Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Hi and welcome I was reading on another thread that a publisher told you there is no interest for WWII fiction. I think that is rubbish, I love stories set during the war and I'm sure heaps of other people do too. Quote
Charm Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Hi there! I'm another newbie - nice to meet ya Quote
wordsgood Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Welcome WW2artist! Amazing picture you've got there. Actually looks identical to one I had in my teens and early twenties...it's almost like you met him! I agree that others telling you that no one is interested in stories set in WW2 is BS. So good luck and I hope you have fun here! Quote
