Guest ii Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Actually...I'm one of those slobs who just goes to the freezer and hauls out any old random grub. You'd never have guessed. And here I was, having pegged you as the Iron Chef... *shakes head in disappointment* I'm really losing my touch...
Sarahrob Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Tonight's dinner was a little shocking. I ate at Keele services on the M6 and it was edible!! No, more than that, it was NICE!!! Gammon, egg, peas, chips and onion rings - highly recommended if anyone happens to be passing.
Nici Posted May 26, 2008 Author Posted May 26, 2008 I taught Robbie how to make a sausage omlette tonight for tea.
Echo Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Family BBQ tonight: grilled steak, grilled corn on the cob, salads.
Icecream Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Last night I was rather cheeky. I made baked potatoes, but OH never eats the skin, so before I put them in the oven I put pesto sauce as well as butter in the tinfoil and told him to try it. He ate the whole lot! Tonight is corned beef hash. Yum yum.
Spooncat Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Faggots mashed potatoes green beans and choc pud for afters:mrgreen:
Nici Posted May 31, 2008 Author Posted May 31, 2008 Currently roasting a chicken to have with fresh egg noodles and cabbage.
Maureen Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I am having fun writing this: horsemeat. If cooked properly, it is really delicious! anyone ever tasted it?
madcow Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Nope never tried it, not sure if I'd want to. Steak and chips here tonight.
Icecream Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I am having fun writing this: horsemeat. If cooked properly, it is really delicious! anyone ever tasted it? No, the closest thing I have eaten is probably Zebra. I ate quite a few different meats in Africa, so I would probably give it a try. We had cod, chips and veg tonight.
Lilywhite Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Eww No thanks Maureen! We had a lovely fried rice made by O's
Guest ii Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I am having fun writing this: horsemeat. If cooked properly, it is really delicious! anyone ever tasted it? Oooh, it's really good! How did your recipe work out? I had hot pepperoni & cheddar sandwitches, after yesterdays cook-out with the dinner party I really wasn't in the mood to spend any time in the kitchen. Plus I was still stuffed to my ears.
Maureen Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Oooh, it's really good! How did your recipe work out? I did not cook it, I was invited to a friend's for dinner. It was divine! First it is marinated for a couple of hours, then it is seared quickly to seal in the juices, and then cooked in lots of different spices for 4 or 5 hours on low heat. The end result was perfect. It is much healtier than beef/pork as it has no fat.
