Nici Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Oh Chrissy I am craving warm weather now and to get back outside with my book! Quote
Chrissy Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 We should do a giant BCF book meet in different open gardens up and down the country throughout the summer! We could all sit around reading and chatting! BCF Road Trip! Quote
thelastwatcher33 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I love reading in bed, especially if its rainy or stormy outside and its a thriller or something. Also I ve grown to like reading on the train for some reason, probably necessity. Quote

Fluffyblue Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I don't know about 'favourite' but how about this, which was in the Daily Mail today: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1142382/Archbishop-forced-sons-45ft-high-chimney-photo-arrested-child-neglect.html Quote
chesilbeach Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Cool....but do you really think we would get any reading done.... And can you imagine how many books each of us would bring, just so we could recommend them all to everyone else! Quote
leah86 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I love reading in bed when the rain is lahing against our velux window! nice cup of tea aswell Quote
Mick Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Leaning against an old tree in a nearby meadow on a sunny afternoon or in bed during a winter storm Quote
tonyf Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 In the school library, after the day's work between 1:30 and 2:00 while waiting to go home. It's empty and very atmospheric. Quote
Piree Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 In the summer with my feet in the lake and hearing kids play on the other side. = Awesomeness Quote
leah86 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I'd love to be able to read in the car but I get car sick . I read in the bath, in bed (although I dont like reading hardbacks in bed ... I usually fall asleep then get a rude a wakening by a hardback punch! ) or my favourite place is on the sofa in the living room with a nice coffee and peace and quiet. No distractions - I'm easily distracted . I get car sick too,so reeading while travelling is out:cry2: I agree it is a waste of good reading time Quote
BookBee8 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I can read in the car, I do get headaches but it's not too bad. I can't read outside very well though and definitely not on the beach. Quote
The Library Nook Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Lastly, sometimes i'll go for random wanders to a forest or field or something and just sit and read for a while, it's peaceful and cool to be alone with your thoughts like that. Sounds heavenly, being half term I might just do that this week if the weather is nice. Quote
Rawr Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 It's one of the most idk liberating things, to just sit surrounded by peace and nature and get lost in the world you're reading about. When i visit my hometown again during easter, i may take another wander to the forest ^.^ Quote
Ben Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Ah forest, that would be brilliant. I want to investigate the mini-forest where I live.. might walk up there tomorrow. Quote
kookiex Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 In bed mostly. But I am so looking forward to spring! It will be warm and sunny again so you can sit outside just enjoying the sund and the nature and everything around you while reading your book. Quote
poetsquill Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I will read anywhere, but i Love either reading in bed all curled up or on my fave chair with a book and a bit of chocolate! PQ Quote
BookBee8 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 It's one of the most idk liberating things, to just sit surrounded by peace and nature and get lost in the world you're reading about. See, this sounds so amazing. But I struggle to read outside. I'm not sure, maybe it's the light or the distractions? Quote
Lucybird Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I can't read outside when it's bright, it hurts my eyes when the sun glares off the page, otherwise I like to rad outside Quote
tiohwji Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 (edited) My favorite reading place is on my bed. I love to read books till I fall asleep. But sometimes, I love reading books on rooftops. Edited March 1, 2009 by Nici links removed (Michelle), Capitals added (Nici) Quote
chrysalis_stage Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I can't read outside when it's bright, it hurts my eyes when the sun glares off the page, otherwise I like to rad outside Same, tis why I have to sit in the shade beneath a big tree. It's one of the most idk liberating things, to just sit surrounded by peace and nature and get lost in the world you're reading about. When i visit my hometown again during easter, i may take another wander to the forest ^.^ I agree! My boyfriend loves being outside too but he can't concentrate on reading or working he is always off exploring things, taking pictures or listening to the bird calls while I sit and read. There have been times when the birds have been too noisy to concentrate but in general reading outside when it is nice weather it can be very soul pleasing. Im surprising myself today, my brother has his music on very loud and I'm reading at the same time, probably because I don't mind the music. Quote
Kenny Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 In bed mostly but just sitting on the sofa is sometimes a possibility Quote
