muggle not Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Sam Cooke the "Father of Soul". Sam Cooke is one of my favorite singers and if not for his tragic death at age 33 he would have been on the same level as Ray Charles. I really like this song by him: https://youtu.be/oc6k2NFXmEY Quote
muggle not Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 (edited) This is a nice video of the Alaska Railway. It also has Patsy Cline singing a song. AlaskaRailway.pps Edited January 30, 2021 by muggle not Quote

Quote For example, halfway up Ireland's East Coast, there is a station playing Irish pub music. Any of you who are multilingual will certainly enjoy this. 6 hours ago, itsmeagain said: https://youtu.be/8QsFNqL8eSc Love The Verve Quote

Ian G Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 I'm not a Bob Dylan fan, but his most recent album Rough and Rowdy Ways is pretty great. Very sparse arrangements with him crooning rather than singing over it all. If I am not a fan why listen to this? Because curiosity got the better of me. I thought it would be interesting to hear what a record by a 80 year old man would sound like. Especially an 80 year old man who has been making records since he was a teenager. And whilst not identifying as a Bob Dylan fan, there is quite a lot of his work I do like. It's just there is just so much more that I find junk. A hell of a lot more. I mean, the guy makes triple albums of American Standards. Ouch. Painful. Quote
