It was one of the first songs that I played when I was practicing to play fiddle 🙂 Lovely fiddle playing, he puts a lot of emotion into it. I don't remember you saying you played the fiddle, Muggle! Do you still play? Hello Walls - Faron Young Don't Stop (Color on the Walls) ~ Foster the People
muggle not
If These Walls Could Speak - Glen Campbell (memory sometimes starts to fade with age 😃 ) Remember I played the fiddle for a while, not well though and gave it up. Also, played the mountain dulcimer, still have the Dulcimer but stopped playing it years ago. My Dulcimer is a good one as it was made by Tom Fellenbaum in Black Mountain NC (Blue Ridge Mountains) Tom's Dulcimers are known for their quality. muggle not
Pledging My Love (Forever My Darling) - Johnny Ace (This is a song from 1954. I loved the song when it was released and still love it. James Lee Burke, one of my favorite book authors, says that when he hears the song the hair on his arms stands up. Burke wrote a book of short stories and one of the stories is about Johnny Ace) 🙂 Edited January 24 by muggle not

muggle not
Hello Mary Lou - The Everley Brothers I promise no more Johnny Ace comments from me after this one 😊 (In November 1954, Ace ranked No. 16 on the Billboard 1954 Disk Jockey Poll for R&B Favorite Artists.[11] In December 1954, he was named the Most Programmed Artist of 1954, according to the results of a national poll of disc jockeys conducted by the U.S. trade weekly Cash Box.[12] Ace's recordings sold very well during those times. Early in 1955, Duke Records announced that three of his 1954 recordings, along with Thornton's "Hound Dog", had sold more than 1,750,000 copies. "Pledging My Love"[18] was a posthumous R&B number 1 hit for ten weeks beginning February 12, 1955. As Billboard bluntly put it, Ace's death "created one of the biggest demands for a record that has occurred since the death of Hank Williams just over two years ago."[ "Pledging My Love" was used in the 1973 film Mean Streets, directed by Martin Scorsese; the 1983 film Christine, directed by John Carpenter; the 1985 film Back to the Future, directed by Robert Zemeckis; and the 1992 film Bad Lieutenant, directed by Abel Ferrara. The Teen Queens' song "Eddie My Love", originally entitled "Johnny My Love", was written in memory of Ace.)
