Have you been able to talk to the Doc yet about your test and what he says about it ?

I'm glad you went and bought you a treat afterwards . You deserved it .

No not yet, I have to have a second heart monitor test on thursday before I can go see her to talk in detail.

Awww :(. I'm glad the book shopping helped a bit, look forward to see your list later.

I do feel rather guilty though, I am buying way more than I am reading... but I enjoy the 'hunt' just as much as the reading.

We'll be waiting to hear after your next test then, of what the doc tells you about both tests . I hope it's better news than you were expecting .

I think the waiting on things like this makes you think the worst . It seems somehow easier to handle when you hear the news ,even if it's bad , than the not -knowing .

Agree 100%. The not knowing is the worst. Least you can deal with it once you know.

It looks like you have chosen some really good books. You can't go wrong with Hosseini  . I know the other fiction books you bought have all been really popular over here so they must be good too .

I'll be interested in the true crime book , especially . It's one I haven't read before . It sounds like it'll have lots of stories in it, so maybe I'll at least be familiar with some of them .

Happy reading  :)

M.L. Stedman - The Light Between Oceans is on my TBR. I don't actually know a lot about this book, I saw it for cheap and it sounded interesting . I hope it's good though! It has some good reviews on GoodReads.

I understand, that makes sense. I am the same, I buy much more than I read too. I do plan on tackling this in the future once I'm less stressed etc. If you're not poor though and you're not running out of space, if it makes you feel better and it's not too out of control, I don't think buying a bit more than what one reads is a bad thing. For example, I couldn't deal with having a very small TBR. But I do think I should try and buy less compared with what I read (my first solution will probably be to read more rather than to buy less XD).

I fully agree. I hope it will be okay .

I am now officially over the halfway mark with Game of Thrones! I think I will be reading a few short books after this one though :blush2:

I felt the same way! After reading it I had to read some short books in between, still am reading some shorter books. I hope soon I'll have the courage to read a bigger book again and tackle the second book, A Clash of Kings. Congrats on being over the half way mark :)!

I went to the library and found two books, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and The Complete Polysyllabic Spree by Nick Hornby.

I'm reading the latter atm! I'm enjoying it :).

Of Mice and Men I've heard good things about but I'm not sure if it's a book for me so I haven't bought it yet. But if I happen to see it cheap or if I read some more reviews about it, I might be tempted.

I hope you enjoy both books :)!

EDIT: I went out shopping and found a cheap second hand copy of the book . See my thread (once I've posted in it).

The Blue Door - Lise Kristensen

I had my first seizure in public today, felt really embarrassed over the whole thing. :blush2:

The Blue Door is fantastic Devi, harrowing yet as it is written from the viewpoint of a child not too horrid..a necessary read I think..

That's good to hear! I think I saw it in your reading thread actually. :)

Oh dear, hope you're OK!

I am up and down at the moment. Just waiting on specialists official diagnosis before beginning a new medicine.

Wishing you success when you try your new  medicine . I hope it works well for you .

I'll be watching to see how you like Under the Dome . It's been a tv show over here for the past few weeks or so . I meant to watch it, but missed the first one, so won't try watching now ,in the middle . I haven yet to read the book ,so it'd ruin it for me if I saw the tv show first .  I'm not a HUGE Stephen King fan, but of the books of his I've read, I've liked them all .

Thank you :) I hope it works too.

The show just started here too. I want to read the book first before I start watching the tv show, its what I wish I had done with the game of thrones book to begin with.

Thank you, I'm doing ok, up and down as I said. I will be happy once I start my new medicine. Edited by Devi

Devi

Do you have one of those "Doggie-Doors" sawed into one of your outside doors .so your pets can get in and out ? Maybe the books are sneaking in through there ?

I blame the Book Elves - they`re notorious for that sort of behaviour. ;)
