  1. I think I may be getting the Kobo Glo for Christmas, so I'm hoping it's simple to use or I'll be requesting techy help on here!
  2. Great to see you back Julie, hope you're well? Some great reviews there, I don't know how you sleep at night!
  3. Finally finished a book! The Last Letter from your Lover by Jojo Moyes, not as good as Me Before You but still very good.. Not sure what to read next but it needs to be a light one as so much going on at the mo.
  4. The book is much much better.
  5. I wondered if I'd know which bit you meant, but oh my!!!! Best of the series (well, except maybe the first one ..)
  6. I'll be locking my doors tonight in case poppy shake decides to eat out canine style tonight!!
  7. Oh yes Michelle, I remember having ice on the inside of my bedroom window, and dashing downstairs from a cold bathroom to get dressed in front of the fire where my Mum has my pj's warming... Happy days
  8. I'm going with my daughter tomorrow!
  9. Oh yes, very cheeky, even aged 13, in fact when he was a baby Mothercare did some clothes with Cheeky Charlie on them..he had them all! .
  10. Agreed, excellent book.
  11. My favourites there are Me Before You (Jojo Moyes), A Land of Decoration (Grace McCleen) and The Snow Child (Eowyn Ivey)... I hope they do well, I'll be watching with interest, thanks for posting MIchelle.
  12. I have never eaten a kebab from a kebab shop, more than happy to eat my own or from a restaurant with proper chunks of chicken, veg etc but the ones in kebab shops never appeal. I think in the UK they are often seen as food for those turning out of pubs late on a Friday/Saturday evening..I wonder if that is universal???
  13. If you're ever near Hastings get some fish and chips from The Blue Dolphin, I have never had fish and chips that taste better... Though watch out for the seagulls, they stole my sons battered sausage....
  14. If I could choose it would be Italian every time, and I don't mean pizza! Second choice would be French... With the kids though it"s generally Prezzo, Zizzi or possibly Chinese..
  15. Oh, I'd have to name them all! We have a cat too but it's my Mum that's the sticking point!
  16. She's beautiful Nick, I love snakes but my Mum is terrified and would refuse to visit if I had one, I'm not sure what the dogs would think either! . Does she have a name?
  17. Weetabix.....as always!!!
  18. Yep, that's me!
  19. I'm sure you'll love it Star, I recently finished her latest book, Home Front, which didn't disappoint either!!
  20. How about Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, not really conventional chick lit, probably not even chick lit at all, despite the cover indication that it is, but an excellent light yet moving read that comes highly recommended by many of the female members on here..
  21. My eldest son is called Charlie!
  22. Then Happy Birthday!! I've dug out your reading blog to wish you a proper happy birthday, practically had to dust the poor thing.. My daughter has such a sweet tooth it is a real treat for her to have a cake breakfast once a year!
  23. Hello and welcome Beth
  24. Excellent! I let my daughter do that every year on her birthday!! Is it your birthday Noll?
  25. It's now on my TBR pile, I know I'm not supposed to be buying books at the mo but I thought this might be a good suggestion for a near future book club read..
