People at school still consider reading as 'not cool'. When I tell people that I like reading and that I have read all the books we have to read for school, they are surprised. They associate reading with the boring books we have to read for school. I think that's also one of the reasons none of my friends read. They think all books are as boring as those we have to read for school. They don't realize most books aren't boring and are actually fun to read. They also think it's very strange for someone of my age to work at a bookstore, and think it's a boring job. I think it's very fun and it's an easy way to learn a lot about books. The only 'negative' thing about working in a bookstore is that I buy way too many books. But who could blame me, books are appealing and I get a nice discount

I have the same problem as Tilly. I'm 16 and addicted to reading, but none of my friends read. I can only talk about books with my colleagues (who are all at least 25 years older than me) since I work in a bookstore.

I'm thinking about buying these books, but a friend of mine told me not to because she thought they were kind of childish. What do you think?

I read this a while ago and I loved it. It was well written and it's definitely worth reading. Does anybody know when the sequel will be released?

Hello! I'm new here so I wanted to introduce myself My name is Chiara, that's Italian for brightness, I'm from Holland and I turned 16 two weeks ago. I absolutely love to read and I try to read as much as I can. I prefer to read English books, although I am Dutch. Today I finished Before I go to sleep and I liked it very much. I always enjoy to read a good thriller. I am in my senior year of high school and I'm planning to study criminology next year. Since I am in my senior year, I also have to read a lot of books for school. These books are unfortunately not the most exciting. My hobbies, besides reading, are playing guitar, watching movies and hanging out with my friends and boyfriend. I also have a job at the local bookstore which I like it very much. I'm looking forward to reading everything about books
