Thank you! I totally agree with you. I also really liked that it shows very good the impact such a thing has on the family. Sebold describes it very good and I also found it very interesting to read what Susie's heaven was like. I don't really believe in heaven and hell, but I do believe there is something after death. I kind of found this ''something'' in Susie's heaven. I think some aspects are quite plausible and really could be like this in real life (or death). I haven't read Lucky and The Almost Moon but they are on my TBR-list. Thanks and you too! I just finished The Hunger Games, and I totally loved it as well! It's a good thing my parents gave me all three books for christmas since I can't seem to stop reading the series. I give it 5 stars because it's well written, a great story, an excellent plot and it makes me hungry for more.

Chicklits. These books don't appeal to me at all. I don't like how most of these books are about problems with guys or popularity et cetera. That isn't really my kind of book.

Totally agree with that. Do you think the book is better? I haven't read it, but I'm not very motivated to read it since I hate the movie.

It's been a while since I read the book, but I read Matilda after having seen the movie a thousand times and I thought the book was actually quite disappointing. I really liked the movie and it's funnier than the book. I don't think Danny DeVito and Rhea Perleman did a very bad job playing the parents and I really think it's worth watching the movie.

Thank you! Yes, my life is very exciting Sometimes it is kind of busy but I'm mostly enjoying everything. I do hesitate a bit about criminology at the moment. It is very interesting, but most of the jobs you can get after studying criminology are very sad and sombre and I don't want to do that my whole life. So I'm now thinking about studying advertisement-psychology, which is also very interesting

Hi! Yes I'm Dutch too I also searched this forum because no one near me reads the same books as me (my friends don't even read other books). I started reading English books when I was 7, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was released, but only in English. The Dutch version would be released 2 months after the English version, so I couldn't wait and bought the English version. So I started reading in English and I never stopped. I now prefer reading English books. What do you like most, reading Dutch, French or English books?

Has anyone read The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove by Lauren Kate? I wonder if it's worth reading?

I read a few chapters from Blue Monday (and I will read some more later in the evening), I worked at the bookstore, and I am now studying some books for my history class.

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I won't really like them. I hope you will find someone else who wants to buy them I'll ask around if I know anybody who likes them and I will let you know if someone wants them. You could also try to contact the publisher who sent you the books. They'll probably swap them.

I just tried to buy them but they are already out of stock. Besides, my parents told me not to, so they may have already bought them for me for christmas.

I think the subforums give you lots of books to consider! Some books I loved and really made me think are The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffeneger. Both are very well written and have a good and unusual story. They are a bit sad though. A book I thought was quite scary is The Guardians by Andrew Pyper. It's a paranormal story about a haunted house and I had a few nightmares about it. I can also recommend Before I go to sleep by SJ Watson. It's not scary, but it's thrilling and I thought it had a very good story with a lot of unexpected turns, it's one of the best books I've ever read. I'm looking for some happy books myself at the moment, so I don't know any I could recommend.

I love working there I have wanted to work in the bookstore since I was little, and just a week after I turned 15 (in the Netherlands, we're allowed to have a job from the age of 15) the job became available and I got it. I was and still am so excited. However, I don't know how long I can keep working there. I am going to college next year and maybe I will move to another city so I will have to quit... My dreams haven't changed. When I was little I wanted to be a writer and work at a bookstore. The latter, I achieved, so now I only have to become a writer. If only it were that easy.

I'm very curious, I think I'm going to ask the trilogy box set for christmas.
