Easy Reader

I think that's a brilliant idea, you could at least give it a go, as they say you don't know until you have tried it. I love reading the review slips in book shops as I like to think that that person chose to review the book after having read it whereas the reviews on the back are because someone was told to review it not because they wanted to.

I somehow missed the big announcement I hope you are very happy together as for what order you read your books in I think you should line them up and both start at opposite ends and meet in the middle a bit like lady and a tramp with the spaghetti

I finally caught up with it all and I am really glad I did. It was much better than I was expecting it to me (apart from the 5th episode but I guss that was gearing up for the final)

I had to try salted peanuts and coke (the drink) together after reading "The Secret Life of Bees" and I have tried salted nuts and chocolate in the same handful together but can't remember where I came across that one both of these I will indulge in every now and again. I don't like coffee and find some books the main characters have coffee every five pags or so to the point I start thinking yeah I'll have a coffee too, particularly The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I was getting a real taste for coffee and sandwiches now I like buttered toast but for some weird reason the hot in front of it always makes me think that thats just too much butter ??? Now if it was hot buttered crumpets then I would be there and I would happily sit at a table where the food just appears in front of you.

My list is getting longer (I didn't bother with the film after reading the book)

I found it very average, although I would never say never with another of his books I am in no hurry to go there again.

Antia Shreve ~ On another book forum she got mentioned a lot and seemed really popular so I did pick up 3 or 4 of her books as I came across them in charity shops. First one I read "Eden Close" was blah, I read the whole thing thinking that at the end it will all be worth it but alas no I was just glad to finish it. I do every now and again look at the other books on my shelf thinkging I should give her a second chance but I just can't seem to do it. me too and this is also a book I find a lot of people recommend to me thinking I will like it

I think Saul is the double agent I wouldn't trust him one bit and I think he is using Carrie for his own gains (thats probably why he hasn't shot her yet) I was starting to go off the show as it seemed to dip a bit but thorught the lie detector bit this week was brilliant I was very nearly on the edge of my seat when Brody blatantly lied.

I know that thats why I have mentioned that its western(ish) I shall even go back and bold that for you. it read like a western therefore it counts as a western

but she chews it well for the record I am reading "stillness" as "lifeless"

A friend of mine doesn't like her and agrees with you that she isn't quite working but I think she is perfect. I do have a problem with Brody's wife I find her performance very "empty" I think we should get that she feels something after having her husband return from 8 years of who knows what while she is having an affair with his best friend. I don't even think she cares if Brody knows about the affair or not.

True History of the Kelly Gang - Peter Carey I never really knew the story of Ned Kelly, my previous knowledge had been based on a weetabix advert from the 80's (the police had Ned surrounded and he had his metal head guard on and warned the police off because he was about to eat his weetabix only to find he couldn't fit the spoon into the mouth slit of his head guard) and a breif mention of his story in a Bill Bryson book where he travelled across Australia which I don't remember much of what BB said other than he made it sound interesting. When this book came up on Kindle's daily deal I thought I would get it as you never know one day I might read it. When I finished the Sisters Brothers for my March Western I thought I had enough time left to read another western(ish) so gave it a go. I was gripped from the beginning. The books is written as if Ned Kelly himself had written notes/memoirs to his daughter and as I have mentioned on another thread I was under the impression that he really had written it himself until I read some reviews and found the error of my ways. I was disappointed to find that it isn't actually a true account but I soon overlooked that and carried on reading it as it it was. I found some of the writting hard to get to grips with at the start of the book and then again at the end as all the action started to heat up but I got the general gist. I was frequently looking up stories on the internet to see how much of what was in the book was true and found it all a little but confusing as there does seem to be lots of conflicting point of view of what really happened. This is easily the best book I have read in ages I really enjoyed it and would love to find out more about Ned Kelly - the first thing I would like to know is did he ever really have a daughter everything I have read online so far hasn't mentioned her. 10/10

I am going to assume that you have read her autobiography. I would like to read it at some point but I don't know if I should wait until I have read all (or the majority of) her books or if I could read it a lot sooner than that. I don't want to read it if there is anything that will influence my opinion of any of the books. So far I have only read about 7 or 8 of hers.

I had a look was hoping to see Brighton on there but its not my geography isn't that good I think all the other places are too far away (not that Brighton is close)

I think with Matthew and Jorgie being so good so early on it gave the others something to work towards and thats how Chico ended up being 3rd with his positive thinking and knowing what he had to aim for. I keep meaning to look up where the tour is going a friend of mine wants to go and I am hoping she will invite me to go along too :fingers crossed:

I got bored a few years ago but renewed my interest about half way through this year I like the new panel line up the guy who won yesterday was good at skating etc but I just couldn't like him I would start to watch him and then my mind would wonder off and before I knew it the panel were saying how brilliant he was and I couldn't remember any of his routine. Found all the others enjoyable though and could really see the improvements from one week to the next.

wow not everyone can say that my special book is I know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou I studied this book for my English A Level and its a bit beaten up and has loads of notes and underlinings in it (none of whcih make any sense to me now) but the real reason its special to me is this is the book that made me a reader. I never really read as a child but always wanted to but it wasn't until I did my A Level English that I really got the hang of reading. Also this thread has reminded me of a picture dictionary I had as a child where W was represented by a Witch and the picture was so scary my sister had to cover it with a square of paper

I would say the same with regards to the Kindle app to get a sample I have read one Nicholas Sparks book and would say (from memory) that it was straight forward in language so I am sure you will be able to understand it.

oh yeah glass collection is noisy where I work we can hear the glass collections doing the rounds we don't get glass re-cycled at home we put it into our normal rubbish as apparently that gets turned into road survacing now we don't put food into it anymore which I think is much better than going to land fill.

I think we stuff like this if they don't have a solution and enough people phone up with the same problem then they realise that they need to find a solution, well hopefully anyway.

I do it when I am tired I take it as a sign to stop reading.

We have similar we have green wheelie bin for card, paper, tins and plastic a black wheelie bin for general rubbish these get collected on alternate weeks garden rubbish gets collected same week as recycling and you can have another wheelie bin for that (but you have to pay a yearly fee) or you can buy particular garden bags from local post office they wont take any old bag and we have a little food bucket which gets collected weekly our bins are so roomy I even take card home from work and my mum brings her recycling over to put in it too Do you not have a collection point anywhere you can take your card to or have you tried phoning council see if they can come up with any ideas
