Finished books 2,3 and 4 of the Harper Connelly series by Charlaine Harris.
The 4th book, Grave Secret, plot finally sheds light on Harpers missing sisters fate, the plot is more intricately woven than the previous books with misdirections and twists galore until the climatic end that left me rather surprised.
I dearly hope there is a books 5, I'm very interested to see how the revelations of book 4 effect Tolliver and Harpers and wither it changes them as people or even as a unit, I'm also interested to see how Charlaine Harris takes the series forward with the series getting gradually darker.
I am glad you mentioned the 4th and 5th book i had given up on there being a 4th will now have a look for it as i have really enjoyed this series.

I just finished a book called 'Flood' in the bath last night (it seemed apt) and felt very depressed by the end and not just because the bath water had gotten cold..

I always find that using the moist, dank, dark crevice makes me laugh out loud, but i love it at work when people use the word linear to describe a ditch, instead of ditch, as a linear doesn't exist its a descriprion of the ditches shape..
someone once used the work 'spagettified' to describe a group of intercutting pits, not sure it exists as a word but it should

I hate when i am stood in a big queue to pay for a book and the person in front of me wants to make a book enquiry...there is a seperate desk for this..or just ask one of the roving sales staff..

I am glad someone else enjoyed district 9 and also that it has some nominations as i think it was a great depiction of how humanity treats each other from apartheid and immigration points of view and that being different means you lose your humanity, it was more than a film about aliens landing on earth...really want to see Hurt Locker as loads of people have said how good it is.

I don't mind sex in books and in fact have read some womens erotica in the past and enjoyed it, i have also read some more standard 'classic' erotica, whilst at university. My housemate did as part of her degree erotic fiction and I read some of the books on her reading list, 'delta of venus' by Anais Nin and the 'story of the eye' I think they were, neither of them appealed to me one by a woman the other by a man but both in factI quite sickening.
I have do say though i don't agree with the Laurell Hamilton take on sex in her books I did like the early Anita Blake books but then it just became the whole story so i stopped buying them.

I love all the Watchmen series, especially Vimes and his long suffering ways, but for just well written laugh out loud characters Nobby and Nanny Ogg, people you know must exist somewhere and aren't sure if you would like to meet.
I have just read one i hadn't seen before about a new witch a young one from the 'chalklands' something about winter i think not as good as the trad witch ones but not bad..can't remember the full title sorry.

The other lady in my office sighing and sniffing..am about to put headphones on to drown her out

I love the book and have loved it and read it many time over the years, i have also seen the film and love it too (the Coppola version) but thats mainly because its so awful it might as well be 'carry on screaming'..the only one who is any good in it is Gary Oldman the makeup at the beggining when he is the count greeting Jonathan Harker is superb..the rest is pants but funny pants..watch it if you haven't seen it a real scream!!

I can't believe i managed to get the wrong Bronte thanks for the correction but i can't stand the film either i find heathcliffe just to awful for words and drives me mad, as for Cathy i just wanted to give her a slap and tell her to get over it..sympoathetic i am not..the only good thing to come out of the book has been the song by Kate Bush.
to all you Hardy lovers and haters i come firmly down on the side of the haters can't stand him..
