... and I joined up yesterday. I was looking for a new book forum and found you on Google. My favourite author is Terry Pratchett but I'm very widely read. Sci-fi, fantasy, crime, philosophy, the classics, any genre really. In fact, I read the back of cornflake packets if there's nothing else available! I've even read the whole of a magazine you get on airplanes. Man, that was a boring flight!

I think the first one could be Fatherland by .. erm .. Robert Harris? He also wrote Archangel which is about someone trying to clone Stalin.

It think it was more that she got really fed up with all the quirks and personal habits she'd given him. It must have got labourious after a while. There's actually a really funny scene in another book where AC uses Mrs Oliver, her alter-ego, to complain about her detective, the vegetarian, vegetable- mincing, Finn. Sorry, my post above was to a post on the front page! I really ought to quote in my posts....
