I used to be embarrassed that my reading habits weren't more high-brow. After five years of enforced classics reading at uni I decided that I'll read what I like. As long as the list of books I want to read is bigger than the list of books I ought to read, I'm happy to be a pleb.

Did you see the TV series This is England 86? Absolutely brilliant, if very hard to watch sometimes. If you love the movie the series is a must see.

The Expendables. More cheesy than Stilton. Terrible writing, appalling plot and wooden acting. That's a hour and a half that I'll never get back.

I love Strictly. I'm not keen on the format this year. I like the dance-off and the Sunday night show seems a bit flimsy without it. The line-up this year is really good, I knew who everybody was. I really like Pamela Stephenson she looks like she really enjoying herself; and going to proove you can get some good soup out of an old chicken. . I think Ben has been the biggest surprise. And as for Ann, if she wore a better bra it would improve her posture no end. And despite disagreeing with most of the things she said before she retired, she was one of the few MP's that didn't fiddle her expenses and she's a game old bird. Anton deserves a medal. I can't take to Michelle. She seems a bit aloof and I think that's why she was in the bottom 2 this week. She's not the worst dancer by any means. She'd dance better when someone takes the pole out of her butt. Don't know who my money is on to win the series.
