  1. What movies have you found to be the most disappointing?

    Before I get virtually lynched I urge you all to remember that film is a highly subjective medium.:D

    There's a long list of movies that I loathe but I'll start it off with Titanic. It was too long, badly scripted and apart from Kate Winslet I didn't understand what the fuss was about.:lol:

    But I know that loads of people loved it.

    I realise that my next choice is akin to peeing in the Queen's handbag, but the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I've never made it to the end of any, I've always fallen asleep, much to my son's despair.

    So what films disappointed you most?

  2. Back on Sunday. I really didn't think they'd make this work without Morse, but I really enjoy it.

    Laurence Fox and Kevin Whately have made a great partnership and although it's not the dark, sordid tales that I usually go for, it's well written, and it hasn't got the same watered down feel that other spin offs have.

    Top Sunday TV, after my bath and in my fave huge jamas.:):D

  3. My new job is right round the corner from the library. I might never have another fine to pay.:)

    Today I borrowed;

    Karin Slaughter--Triptych which I'd read a bit of before but had to give back to the library as someone had ordered it.

    Jasper Fforde--The Fourth Bear. A new one on me.

    James Patterson--Judge and Jury. It's co-written and I was curious to see if that works out or not.

    W.Somerset Maugham--Catalina

    Tess Gerritsen--The Bone Garden

    Kimberley Warner Cohen--Sex, Blood and Rock 'n' Roll. It's graphic and probably very rude. It's been compared to Bret Easton Ellis......hmmm we'll see.

  4. I agree with both of those can I add in Stephen Fry someone really interesting and intelligent very British and is all these things in a non patronising humourous way.

    He's my second choice. Can't remember who it was but someone said they'd been talking to him recently and said it was like hanging out with Google.:irked:

  5. Oh yeah Ken stott defintely there is something about his craggy face, I was listening to rebus on the radio today and although it wasn't him I just thought of him and was transported even though at work.

    Slap and tickle, wicked Pickle.:irked::D

    Rebus is having another rerun on Alibi or ITV3 soon, and he popped up unexpectedly in Charlie Wilson's War, much to my delight.

    I can't decide whether I like him best as Rebus or Red Metcalfe. He's more unkempt and cheeky in Rebus, but he's more brooding and intense as Red. Hmmm tough choice.

    The accent does it. Rebus it is.;)

  6. Who do you regard as a national treasure?

    Who are the best and brightest man and woman that your country has produced?

    I'll kick it off with David Attenborough, 84 still working, he was at the South Pole last week, still passionate about his work and television and he has taught and entertained me more than anyone I can think of.

    And Judy Dench. She reminds me of my Mum and I hope I'm half as cool when I'm her age.

    I think I like her best not only because of her talent, but she comes across as fun and not too full of herself and she's ageing in a really dignified way.

    Tag. You're it.
