Finished The Last Dragon Slayer - Jasper Fforde and Divine Misdemeanors- Laurell K Hamilton. Started reading Trainspotting - Irvine Welsh. It's the first book thats ever made me think I was going to be sick which was unpleasant. I had to put the book down take some deep breaths and make myself a cup of tea to recover. Went in to a second hand music shop yesterday and they had lots of books in there for £1 so I bought Amara - Richard Layman and Carrie - Stephen King. edit: The front cover of Carrie is so disturbing I've had to turn it over so it doesn't freak me out!

Cheese and onion Chinese or Indian?

It looks like I'm a Chinese food addict because tonight I had Salt and Chilli Duck with noodles and curry sauce.

I have to agree with a lot of you guys on this one I like it, it was different but I found it hard to keep going sometimes. But I paid a tenner from Tesco's so I was going to read it. I was quite glad I persisted though and I will be reading the next one which I am hoping won't be as slow as the first as there won't be a need to set up the story.

Funnily enough I started reading Bridget Jones's Diary the other day which I bought from a second hand shop when I opened it I found a blue book mark with a whale on it and an old shopping list. I could tell it was a book geeks too...at the bottom of the shopping list it said "Must order Cycle of the Warewolf by Stephen King" !

We didn't go to Tesco's today so it was Chinese take away Beef in Oyster Sauce and rice noodles. Nom nom nom.

Finished Frostbitten by Kelley Armstrong and have started The Last Dragon Slayer by Jaster Fforde. My mojo hasn't been this busy for ages so I'm going with the flow. Do you think it has something to do with being back on here?

Not me as such but other half bought Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power this afternoon.

I've finished Chocolat - Joanne Harris, I like her style of writing. I have started Bridget Jones' Diary but I'm not sure how much I like it yet.

I have two bookshelves full to bursting point one that is full of books I want to keep the other is a quarter full of read books then all TBR then theres the piles on top of the bookshelves and the piles on the floor next to the bookshelf.

I thought it would be a good idea to write something on here as I haven't been around for a long time now. Good news though! I've finally made my way out of the 1990's and got the internet in my house! So I hope to catch up with all the old faces and meeting all the new ones! Chat soon! Cookie

I'm afraid I haven't watched the film either but my other half says that it's pretty good. I agree with you about the book though it is brilliant.

I really like blood and gore in crime. I also like it when you see things from the perspective of the killer and can really get into their sick mind. I don't know how crazy that makes me though!

For me I think it would be Kerry Katona, Ann Robinson *shudders* and Dan Brown. I will think of more I'm sure.

Now that I will be out of work I'm hoping to start walking more (it'll save me money too!) and I'm going to try and sort my diet out a bit. I'm hoping with more time oon my hands I will make more effort to make healthier dinners.
