  1. Probably, but I don't have a creditcard or paypal. Was going to say the delivery costs a lot since I am in Holland, but it's free delivery world wide, wow.
  2. True, he's sort of new, but I think it's more his personality. He was that gloomy and whining even before he died. You know, Plus, the other new vampires, say Daniel, David or Jesse aren't like that at all. So it's more Louis himself. But nope, he's not my favourite vampire.
  3. You mean Frailty, with Bill Paxton? That is a good film indeed, but that's not based on a Stephen King story is it? Can't find it on IMDB.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0264616/ Or you do mean another film?

    Tattoos!

^Well I see why you wouldn't want to get tattooed with your ex present, hell, I don't care to see my ex ever again, glad he lives in Canada now. My tattooshop has a MySpace page.. Skin-a-matic you can see some of the tattoos Marco has done there, they look fantastic! Also, lots of piercings by Kim on there.
  5. Mine now
  6. Well you could always check this page out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_years_in_literature and then scroll down till you get to the 1800's bit, there's quite a few books in there. A lot of these books are set in the time they're written in, though I don't quite know what you're looking for?
  7. Nope. This is because I never feel compelled to finish a book I don't like, when it doesn't appeal to me after a while, I put it away (sometimes for later finishing). Also, I don't have a TBR pile either.. the books I own and want to read still are not that many, and the books I don't own and want to read could be hundreds, so I have never bothered to make an actual list. And I never read something I don't feel like reading. I can't work through a system, which is why I have never joined a book club, or done a book challenge. I pick up whatever books strikes my fancy at that moment, and when I want to read something else, I do. Reading for me, is always fun.
  8. Nope, I have never payed that much, most is probably 25 euros, for a bloody paperback too, a book that had just come out and I really wanted to read. I have some Lord of the Rings art books that are pricey, but I got them all as a gift. Besides that I have spent 90 euros or so on a book. But it was a book for university, about classes that we had at the time, actually for school I have at least a dozen books that were at least 50 euros a piece. And they wonder why students are poor. But can't see myself (with current finances, don't know when I have a decent job and more money) paying that much for a book. I'd rather buy three less expensive books that I want than one expensive one. That said, I did promise myself I'd buy proper copies of the books I have loved for years but have never being able to afford nice editions of.
  9. About one hundred pages of The Great Hunt today.. and more later I hope.
  10. Ahh, I love Castle. Though honestly, I wonder how much of that is me loving Nathan Fillion. Love love love the guy, ever since Firefly, and I think even before *imdb's*, ahh yes even before, I loved him as Caleb in Buffy. Awesomeness. Anyway, don't know about the book then, I mean.. it's Castle, not Nathan. Might read it some day though..
  11. Just read a few pages of The Great Hunt, and am taking it with me to work, only have a 15 minutes break, but am going to read anyway hee hee.

    Tattoos!

That works for every tattoo, and in my opinion, people who get tattoos that are of such a nature that they are regretted later in life.. well they haven't thought it through enough. I mean, I have been wanting a tattoo for about 8 years, never got around to it cause I kept chaging my mind. Which is good, cause otherwise I might have a heartagram tattooed, which is a band logo, of a band that I used to really like, but I really do not like their current music. Now, I'd never get something like a band logo tattooed. But an equation, well those are valid for life, plus in my opinion, if you like this kind of science now, you'll like it always.

I think the idea of getting such an equation tattooed is great, as long as it's not the obvious E=MC2 hee hee. I don't really like the shapes etc of the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, even though that IS something in astronomy I like. Stellar evolution etc. How about something relating to a black hole though, always fascinated me. The equation to general relativity? This stuff is almost too difficult for me, crappy as I am at math and physics.. almost. But the idea by itself rocks.
  14. Yup, finished the last pages of the Eye of the World just now. Went from page 625 to the end today, that's 207 pages, not bad. Will be starting the Great Hunt today too. Can't wait, love these books.
  15. Read about 100 pages of Eye of the World, have allmost finished it, should get that done today, took me too long already, haven't had much time for reading.
  16. See, I didn't like that one very much. I thought the looks were amazing, seriously, gorgeous film to watch. Couldn't really get into the story though, mainly because I guess I am not too fond of musicals. Maybe I'll try re-watching it though, only seen it at the cinema so far, and just once. Thinking back I can't possibly hate it as much now as I did then, maybe because I was seriously disappointed with it. Too much singing in my opinion, see I like Moulin Rouge a lot, but this was too much.

    Tattoos!

Well I am a newcomer to tattoos, have none yet, but the pain doesn't worry me at all. Like with all my piercings, it never really bothered me, and actually nothing really hurt. Lip hurt the most, but only barely. Also don't care about bleeding, which is weird because if I cut my fingers accidentally, I can almost pass out. But that's because I can't stand anything happening to fingers I guess. Anyway, for me, with piercings, pain is part of the experience, it would be less fun if it didn't hurt at all. Plus, I really wanted all of them, as now with my tattoo, so even if it hurts, I don't care.. my pain threshold is quite high I guess, as far as sharp pains go (give me headache, tummy ache or infection pains and I am a wuss). The going alone bit.. well I went alone to make the appointment today, and if my mom didn't really really want badly to come along when they do it, I'd rather go alone. I do a lot of things alone, the way I like them. Too bad there's no spur of the moment thing as far as my tattoo shop goes, might be when they hire another tattoo artist, but they've been trying for years, and none seems to meet their expectations, they're usually gone fast.

    Tattoos!

There, I just got back from the tattoo shop and made an appointment to get mine done, we discussed particulars, there had to be some changes made since I wanted two of the stars to be like, double lined? And those were too small, so they have to be a bit bigger. Also picked out the font for dad's name, had one myself but theirs are way prettier. But it can't be done till June 2nd. *sighs* They're booked solid, Kim said she'd give me a call if someone cancelled again (like they did when mom wanted to get one), because I only have a short-ish appointment.. maybe a little over an hour. Apparently those stars take up more work than mom's tattoo, which is why it's more expensive too. 150 euros, ick. Payed 25 already, they always do that. Good it's that far off then, means I can save up hee hee. I have the money now, but that's sort of money for another purpose. As in paying bills in the future etc. But yeah, YAY, tattoo on the way.

    Tattoos!

They're not that bad, okay I have seen better work, but not very bad. But this is why I would wait till May to get mine done, you know, months waiting? The shop I go to, I've been going to for 10 years (it's been that long since I have had my tongue piercing done) and I have never gotten a tattoo, but friends have there, and the place is always packed as far as getting tattooed goes. People keep coming back, and Kim and Marco (she does the piercings, he the tattoos) keep going to conventions etc, few times a year, worldwide, to keep learning more, and improving themselves. I have all the faith in the world that this guy can make my tattoo pretty. Plus, he's a nice guy, makes me feel comfortable, which isn't alltogether unimportant.
  20. The song that will be our contestant for Eurovision. It's horrible, most people in my country think so. The guy that wrote it wrote the smurf song too, the girl that sings it is from my town. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I love your tattoo CaLily, I love the triquetas.. always have. Oh and one day I'd also like Elua's creed from Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Dart series tattooed somewhere: "Love As Thou Wilt".. cause I couldn't agree more, and I love these series for years and years now.
  22. Nope. Books are objects. Objects don't have souls. I don't really believe humans have souls either, let alone books

My mom turned 51 on the same day we went to the tattoo shop to get an appointment for her tattoo to get done. Never too old for one..

@Nollaig: Is your tattoo on the inside of your wrist or outside? I'd love to have another on the inside of my wrist, actually I have these vague ideas for one on my left wrist (longish, small, sort of running up my arm, elvish design) and maybe one on my right, running from left to right. The stars on my shoulder would be nice since I might get another in the middle of my back (between my shoulder blades, and then up a little) and then it looks ugly if you have a huge one on your shoulder too..in my opinion. Ideally, I'd like to get my whole spine tattooed too. But that's never gonna happen. I won't spend hundreds of euros on that, plus I will NEVER be able to decide what. *sighs* They say tattoos are addictive, and it was that way for my piercings, though now I have all pierced what I want to, I'd like another tongue piercing behind the one I have, but that won't really fit, it would become a liiiiitle too busy underneath my tongue (and a friend of mine had 5 tongue piercings plus one under her tongue, don't know how she survived hee hee).. But yeah, addictions cost money, and I am poor.
