  1. No, Inver, I second that. There were a lot of ballades, there were some nice songs, but nothing really great. Actually I don't think I can remeber one of the songs tomorrow. There were no really catchy songs.
  2. OK, I think Lena did great. Well I don't think that we will win with the song, but it is a lot better then the really embarassing German contributions of the last years.
  3. So, now Germany is coming. I am curious how she will manage it
  4. I think the song from France is a great summer hit, it's perfect for parties!
  5. Maybe Greek with Opa Opa, Michelle? I liked Iceland but it wasn't as good as Yohanna last year.
  6. Yes, Ireland was great. And I liked the Greece song. But the performance was really strange.
  7. A lot of pretty young boys this year. I really liked Belgium and Norway. But the song from Serbia? What an odd singer and performance.
  8. I must admit I watched the first semi-final and there wasn't one song I really liked, I never thought "wow, this ist great". Nevertheless, I will watch is this evening. But I don't think that there will be a song which I would like to buy afterwards (ok, I allready bought the CD from the German singer, but beside that...) But I still enjoy my CD from Yohanna, who was second last year
  9. Anyone watching the Eurovision Song Contest this evening?
  10. The first Eurovision song contest semi final
  11. Oh, funny sounds great. Well, I think I need to find a lot of time for listening to all your suggestions Thanks!
  12. I love the As It Is in Heaven soundtrack!
  13. Oh that sounds really interesting, I think I will try it. But I will also look out for Agatha Christie and The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy radio play. Thanks for your recommendations!
  14. Hi, a few years ago I thought audio books are totally boring. Well, this has changed now and I quite enjoyed some audio books now. But I also discovered the world of radio plays this last years. I must say I prefer them to "normal" audio books. So I am a big fan of some german radio play series. And now I am interested in english productions. Are there radio play lovers around here? Can you recommend english radio plays? Open for any recommendations, for children radio plays, crimes, action... Thanks Julia

Yeah, congrats! I am so happy that Bayern Munich lost
  16. It's an interesting question. I love books because they are doors in different worlds and lifes. I like it when I am really absorbed, when I feel with the people in the book, when I can be happy or angry or sad for them, when I can hope and dream about the things that will happen. Books, they provide such a lot of possibilities. Many different worlds, and they make me laugh and cry and think about topics I won't think about without reading.
  17. My Cassette Player - the first album by Lena (she is the one who will sing at the Eurovision song contest for Germany)
  18. Good luck! Most people like it. So maybe you can enjoy it, too.
  19. My example is Hermann Hesse. Well, it's an author you have to read going to school in Germany. The first one I had to read was Siddhartha and I really loved this book! So I thought I try some other books. But I soon gave up, I found them really boring. 2 years later I had to read another book from him in school, Steppenwolf. And Steppenwolf is a book I really hate. Most of my class mates found it interesting, they loved it, it was the first book read in school they really liked. But I find it really terrible. It is strange, there is this idiot taking drugs, thinking nonsense and wanting to commit suicide. So, I really love Siddharta, wonderful book, I can read it again and again. But I surely won't touch the Steppenwolf again.
