  1. I have a purple bookworm bookmark which goes from book to book. I was getting really tired of using a piece of paper and I hate the pages being folded.
  2. I'm looking forward to seeing Harry Potter & Angels and Demons. Going to see Star Trek this weekend.
  3. It's creamy spinach pasta for me tonight!! Yummy!!
  4. I would have to say Grandad I think he was the funniest out of the two.
  5. I buy most of my books from Waterstones as I have the Waterstones Card and can collect points and get discounts. Play is quite good for buying books and they have free delivery.
  6. I really want to read this book before I see it in the cinema. I really enjoyed reading the Da Vinci Code it was brilliant and alot better than the film .
  7. My favorite from a novel would be Lindsay Boxer from the murder club series by James Patterson. From T.V it would have to be either Mr Barnaby (Midsomer Murders), Mark Sloan (Diagnosis Murder), Jessica Fletcher (Murder she Wrote). I love the old ones they are still great to watch. My favorite detective when I was a little girl was Nancy Drew.
  8. Yeah the book was made into a movie with Michael Cain and Tobey Maguire. I watched the film recently and it is nowhere near as good as the book. The book is based on an orphanage and follows the life of an orphan nobody wants to adopt named Homer Wells.
  9. I would have to say either James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell or Harlan Coben. I wouldn't be able to choose just one got too many questions for them all
  10. After I finsihed reading Granite City by Stuart MacBride I started having horrible dreams about murder/violence just a couple of weeks ago. I had the same kind of dreams for 5 or 6 nights, they were quite scary . I think it also had something to do with what I was watching at night before I went to bed. So I started drinking hot milk before I went to bed and started reading or watching something with a bit of humor and they stopped.
  11. A great series of books to read is the Women's Murder Club by James Patterson. The first book is called 1st to Die and is brilliant. They are about a Homicide Detective, Lindsay Boxer,a Journalist Cindy Thomas, a Coroner Claire Washburn and a DA Jill Bernhardt who get together to solve murders. Its does sound quite cheesy but the books are excellent I have read the first three and there are 8 in total. If you enjoy a great crime/mystery novel I highly recommend you read these.
  12. Hi Karen, Welcome to the Forum!! I'm new too
  13. :tong:Hi everyone, my name is Sarah and I'm a complete book addict!! I just joined up last night and thought I should introduce myself. Still trying to find my way around the site its a tad confusing . I am currently reading The Cider House Rules by John Irving and I think its fantastic. Has anyone read this? It is completely different to what I usually read. I'm a big fan of Crime/Thriller novels.
