yeah, she wasn't scared at all in the film really. With Edward, I think they tried to show his struggle, ie in the biology scene, but from then on, he was pretty much fine and didn't really seem to struggle being around Bella at all. He quite happily puts his arm around her when they get out of the car at school without any hesitation. They tried to show Jaspers struggle, but he just looked petrified!!!

I'm going to have a flutter, but haven't picked yet!! I have Mon Mome in the sweepstake at work - fingers crossed.

I agree with what you have said Roxi. He was quite happily putting his arm around her etc in the film with ease. I guess they didn't have time in the film to show his darker side?!

I like the way that the story is told from three different perspectives, but I just really didn't care about any of the characters!! Some of the sex scenes were a bit pointless. I got a little confused at some points, but I think that this was becuase of the narrative and/or the typos. I don't think that I am going to read any more of the series -very disappointed.

I didn't mind the ending really - I just didn't like the journey of how they got there in Breaking Dawn. I did however like the Rosalie/Jacob moments, very funny!

I really liked this book and I am glad that it was recommended to me as I probably wouldn't have even picked it up if it wasn't! I quite often recomend this book to others, but I am always a bit stuck for what to say when people ask me what it is about as it is difficult to explain the travel element to someone who hasn't read it!

Breaking Dawn is my least favourite of the books. Although I didn't hate it, I just thought things were taken too far. I didn't like the imprinting, infact, I think that Rennesme could have been ditched altogether (although she was the main point!). I would also have liked to have heard more about

Thats the same reason I decided to read it becuase of the Twilight comparison, but at the moment I am just finding it a bit.....odd! I am hoping that there is something that I am just missing!

I have just started to read the above book as I had seen it recommended somewhere. I read the blurb and thought that it would really be my sort of thing, but I am finding it really hard to get it to! Although I haven't got very far in to the book, I'm finding it more of a chore rather than pleasurable! Has anyone else read it? I would be interested in your thoughts to see if it is worth sticking with....

I like having genre variations too. I wouldn't want to sit and read a book that was classed as "Romance", but give me a vampire romance/impossible love and I am hooked!

Most definately the worst. I know the film is never going to be the same as the book, but there were far too many differences in the Golden Compass in my opinion.

I wonder if she will try to mimic the style of Meyer or will she use her own style? Not sure which I would rather?!

Me too! It doesn't seem fair that she has come up with the characters and now someone else is using them

I totally agree with what you are saying!! I will say now that I won't read it, but I think that curiosity will get the better of me....

I have watched the film and really liked it so I think I would like to give the book a shot!!
