  1. I just have the last episode to watch for season 1. I think that the tv series keeps quite true to the book although there are a lot of added storylines and characters. Do you all like the addition of the extra characters and storylines?

  10. I think that I have covered this somewhere in another thread, but I really didn't think that it was that bad! Yes, they missed loads of stuff, they are always going to in a film of this length. I didn't like how they forced relationships in the audiences faces, nothing was subtle! However, there were some funny moments, I liked the wand bit and I liked Slughorn. I try to hold the film and books seperately in my head as the film will never live up to my high expectations!
  11. Hello and welcome
  12. I didn't think that Which is the main reason why I didn't really like BD.
  13. Poor you! My b/f walked in on me watching it and I think that he thought that I was watching a mucky movie. I didn't really like Bill in the first episode, but I am on episode 6 and I can definately see his appeal

  16. Haha! I am glad that I am not the only one who noticed that - he clips the end of her name when he says it if that makes sense?
  17. I don't think that they The film is never going to live up to the book, there just isn't enough time in the film to cover everything. I try to appreciate the film for what it is.
  18. Wow!! He actually looks like the doctor now! I'm excited...!
  19. Depends how easy to read it is as well as how good it is! If something is a little heavy going, I tend to re-read certain paragraphs so I definately know what is going on. Also depends on what kind of day I have had at work

  23. Personal Demon - Kelley Armstong From Amazon: Hope Adams, tabloid journalist and half-demon, inherited her Bollywood-princess looks from her mother. From her demon father, she inherited a hunger for chaos, and a talent for finding it. Like full demons, she gets an almost sexual rush from danger - in fact, she thrives on it. But she is determined to use her gifts for good. When the head of the powerful Cortez Cabal asks her to infiltrate a gang of bored, rich, troublemaking supernaturals in Miami, Hope can't resist the excitement. But trouble for Hope is intoxicating, and soon she's in way too deep. With a killer stalking the supernatural hot spots of Miami, Hope finds herself dangerously entangled, and has no choice but to turn to her crooked werewolf ex-boyfriend for help. What started as a simple investigation has spiralled into chaos. And Hope finds chaos irresistible ... One word describes this installment of the Women of the Underworld series - brilliant! I really loved this book. The plot was riveting, the characters interesting and I really cared about the outcome. Hope has a very different power to the ones in the previous books and she also has flaws as she struggles to cope with her power. My favourite book so far. Mark: 9/10
  24. No Humans Involved - Kelley Armstrong From Amazon: No Humans Involved stars necromancer Jaime Vegas. She's on a television shoot in Brentwood, Los Angeles when weird things start to happen. Invisible hands brush her arms, she sees movements out of the corner of her eye, unintelligible fragments of words are whispered in her ear. Jaime's used to seeing the dead and hearing them clearly. But now, for the first time in her life, she knows what humans mean when they say they're being haunted. Jaime is determined to get to the bottom of this, but she doesn't realize how low her investigation will take her, or what human-based horror she will uncover. As Jamie delves through the dark underside of Los Angeles she'll need as much Otherworld help as she can get to survive unscathed. But Jeremy, the alpha-werewolf is there by her side to offer his protection. And maybe more than that ... No Humans Involved gives the reader a chance to get to know Jamie Vegas and Jeremy Danvers, two characters which haven been briefly introduced in previous books. Both characters are extremely likeable and from outset, I wanted them to get together as a couple. Jamie is very different from Elena, Eve and Paige as she doesn't really have any active power (apart from communicating with the dead!) which she can use to protect herself. In previous books, she comes accross as quite a shallow but loveable character and she is given a lot more depth in this book. We are also introduced to Hope who seems like she has an interesting 'gift'. Mark: 8/10
