Okay this is one of them books that I'm always saying I have to read..I'm not so sure now..A fair few scathing comments..Is it worth reading? Have to agree with generalkala I wasn't even sure what it was about.. It's just one of those classics..
Micheal tells me that there are fewer and fewer people asking for angels help,so we will talk about the extrodinary fact that there are millions of angels out there who are unemployed - Angels In My Hair - Lorna Byrne
I've Never read this either..strange..its such a classic.I think i'll invest in a copy..My friend recently bought the new J.K Rowling offering so I'm next on the waiting list for that one:)
I hate that video! Maybe because it was overplayed..?? I really like the Beyonce-Single Ladies one..quite mesmerising! Oh and i love love the Blur one with the two little milk cartons, think the song is coffee and tv.? little milk carton going up to heaven with little angel wings is so cute:lol:
I've also read a few of the books on your list..Didn't enjoy If You Could See Me Now..but thoroughly enjoyed Nineteen Minutes..I've also added Into The Wild to my wishlist..I'M intrigied
Great review Ruth,it has defnitly whet my appetite for this book, shall be heading to my local library tomorrow! Also Have The Men Had Enough sounds promising too
Yes like everyone else i defnitly think illustrations are an important staple of childrens books..The Blake illustrations from Roald Dahl books defnitly stick out in my mind..i think it helps to develop kids imaginations.
Yes i have to agree with,i thin k,the minority? I just couldn'tget into The Curious Incident.. I also read A Spot of Bother and did like it.. The story had no great depth as such and didn't really go anywhere, but i thought it was quite humourous and good for a quick light read.
Well i read quite a few accounts about the extent of the lies..But did read that only the basic premise,i.e,he was a drug addict and a alcoholiac, was true. Ye,the eyes bit really grated on my nerves
