  1. yes that bit was great. It's a shame they didn't bring back Peter's bit of the credits though!
  2. Yeah I enjoyed it too, quite a few dramatic moments. Does anyone else feel a bit cheated though? The adverts made it seem like GC was going to be in last weeks episode, then when he wasn't it seemed like he would be in both of tonight's episodes, but we didn't really see that much of him in the end
  3. I'm a a mac user and I love my mac! Maybe because I've always used them but I find them easier to use, simpler. I must admit though the newer macs don't tend to last too well, our original mac we bought when I was about 9 and it was still working a couple of years ago when we finally got rid of it, we had had to replace the battery, and it was very slow (but possibly had always been that slow). The first i-mac is still going too, except that the battery needs replacing, but it wasn't the greatest computer, we used to have to restart it with a paperclip when it froze! The last one lasted I think 3 years until the CD drive went then another couple until the graphics card went, we could have replaced the card but seeing as it was the second repair Dad decided we may as well get a new one. My laptop I've had for almost 4 years and it's never crashed, programs have occasionally gone but not the whole computer. I had no end of trouble with the CD drive though, I think they tried to use the technology too early really, they still have the same type of CD drives on the newer computers and they seem to work good. Me I hate when word predicts what you are trying to do then won't let you change it to what you want to do. (This was worst when I was making notes in lectures, I used bulletpoints but sometimes I needed to break a bullet point into several points, but when I used - because I couldn't use two types of bullets it decided I wanted all the bullets to be like that and/or wouldn't let be switch back)
  4. I'm glad Phillip went, I think it's the first week I've agreed with Sir Alan. I liked Lorraine at first (well didn't like but disliked the least!) but I didn't like her now we saw more of her
  5. Well then just wait for the monster in his chest in HBP

  10. My Dad's getting an Indian readymeal, not the best Indian but pretty good
  11. I watched it Sunday so nope!
  12. yeah I may too, if I pick it up again
  13. Dogma is great, I love God!
  14. This is pretty much the reason I gave up. It took me a while to start getting interested in the book, from only about a chapter in I had decided to give up if it hadn't picked up by page 100. It wasn't long before this that it started to interest me, . I decided to carry on reading but then book 3 started. Having waited so long for the story to actually properly start it just frustrated me that when I had started to be interested (not even for long enough to say that I was enjoying it) suddenly the story was cut off again for what I can only describe as a rant. Maybe when I have got over the frustration I will try again because when there was actual story I could see potential. For now though it's just annoying me
  15. maybe I'll poke my head in while it's safer then!
  16. hmm well I wasn't going to go into the reading circle incase I do pick it up again, I don't want to be spoiled!
  17. The mind after a sharp blow to the head is like a house after a hurricane: unrecognizable shards, shreds and splinters Random Acts of Heroic Love- Danny Scheinmann
  18. Bought Jodi Picoult's latest book Handle with Care today. Am kinda tempted to start it straight away but will wait until I finish Random Acts of Heroic Love at least
  19. Pizza, meat and salad
  20. Yeah I do agree with Andy (except for the Harry Potter, which is actually quite deep if you're like me and spend hours on Harry Potter forums talking about the deeper meaning and stuff), Brown and Meyer are both pretty trashy writers IMO, giving up on them is no bad thing really
  21. see didn't even know when the one I was waiting for was out!
  22. lol well maybe you'll do better with it than me
  23. Only one for me Jodi Picoult's Handle with Care, I don't tend to know what is going to be coming out in advance
  24. The Hunchback of Notredame by Victor Hugo Synopsis (from Amazon) Set in 1482, "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" is a compelling story of love and betrayal, brutal deeds and one of the most famous acts of revenge in world literature. Quasimodo, the hunchback of the title, is one of fiction's most extreme characters - beneath his monstrous disfigurement, his love for the beautiful Esmerelda reveals a heart full of intense emotion. The novel is set in the great cathedral of Notre-Dame and had a profound influence on the Romantic Movement. Review I'll say from the onset I gave up on this book before finishing it. I really wasn't getting into it. I found that there was very little real story line and a lot of waffle. Right from the start I had this impression but wasn't letting myself give up until I had at least reach 100 pages. By page 100 there was actually some story- enough that I decided to keep going but the next chapter put me off again. The story stopped for a rant about how Notredame had changed since being built, I had finally begun to be able to read this story without being frustrated by the lack of story when it as cut short by this rant which really frustrated me. If the actual story had gone on a bit longer before this I may have persevered but I had only just decided it might be worth carrying on. I may pick up the book again, and to that end have kept my place marked but, for now at least, I'm too frustrated to carry on. 1/5
