  1. I just read the vampire books in the order they were published.

    1. Interview with the Vampire (1976)

    2. The Vampire Lestat (1985)

    3. The Queen of the Damned (1988)

    4. The Tale of the Body Thief (1992)

    5. Memnoch the Devil (1995)

    6. The Vampire Armand (1998)

    7. Merrick (2000)

    8. Blood and Gold (2001)

    9. Blackwood Farm (2002)

    10. Blood Canticle (2003)

Servant Of The Bones & The Mummy are indiviual novels and nothing to do with the vampire books. Personally I loved the Mayfair books and I've reread them more - hope that helps!

  2. Maybe they are fitted with a little light fixture, but are discreetly tucked away when not in use. I mean, clearly it is daytime in this picture, so you wouldn't use the little (or large) lights until sunset.

The only other alternatives are photoshop or clenching! :D

OMG! I just spat Cherry Garcia frozen yogurt everywhere at the thought of light fixtures :D

  3. He makes no sense in real life? I must admit I don't know much about him.

I follow him on Twitter - the man is crazy :D

I like the sound of those games - especially the "Will Worf say anything this episode?" one, might have to give that a try!

Have just reserved Season 1 of TNG so I can start from the beginning again :D

  4. Have you seen this edition of 'Pride and Prejudice'?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pride-Prejudice-Fine-Jane-Austen/dp/0955881862/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1255077873&sr=1-3

It's beautiful .. and though I don't like hardbacks I am a sucker for beautifully illustrated cloth bound books.

I've got this edition of P&P along with Emma and also the copy of Wuthering Heights that they do - also very tempted to get Jane Eyre too! They're stunning hardbacks and the fabric covers are really beautiful and most importantly, well bound :friends0:

  5. Has anyone pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk before? I'm basically wondering about when the book is sent, is it sent to arrive on the release date, or is it sent out on the release date?

I do it all the time! It varies with each book, a few come early but most come within a couple of days of the given date. The new Terry Pratchett was due out this week but I got my copy last week, just trying to think of other examples - I preordered the new Juliet Marillier which was due October 2nd but I got it on September 24th, the new Rachel Allen cookbook I got the day it was due out and the New Moon Film Guide came the day before it was due :D
