Paula, you definitely need to buy the soundtrack - I think this is one of the best that I've heard in a long time!
-
If anyone wants to watch Dollhouse it starts on ITV4 tomorrow night at 9pm - they're going to be showing all 13 episodes too
-
I can't believe we've still got to wait another 4 weeks - I may need another copy of the soundtrack by then
Weitz has had the benefit of more time, more investment and more support which I think is going to show. I really don't know how I'm going to wait until July next year for Eclipse and I'm so looking forward to seeing what David Slade has managed to produce!

Surprisingly, a lot of the spoiler clips are still floating around - I thought for sure that Summit would have yanked them by now! I have most of them bookmarked so I don't watch them - I'm trying to avoid every single spoiler but it seems to be much harder to do this time round than it did with Twilight.
The Burwell track for Twilight was good but it really wasn't my idea of her lullaby at all. I think that may be partially down to Hardwicke and also the speed with which the Twilight soundtrack was put together. The New Moon soundtrack is so much more polished and it makes me excited to find out what they're going to do for Eclipse

There is a score coming out again - November 24th, I already pre-ordered it
Do you think the same about the Desplat track, that it sounds more like Bella's Lullaby than Bella's Lullaby actually did?
I've an idea Summit may have pulled all the track position posts - I can't find any mention now
-
I've had it on near constant repeat too
I really want to like Done All Wrong because I love Black Rebel Motorcycle Club but the more I listen to it.....
Have to say my favourite tracks are Monsters by Hurricane Bells, the Bon Iver track, Muse (obviously
), Sea Wolf and The Killers. I did find a blog post where someone had listed where each track played but I forgot to bookmark it and now I can't find it

Absolutely - the latest 'thing' I hear is something called 'vooks', which combine words with music and video. I thought the whole point of reading was to read without distractions, and well to be honest, I don't see the point ! I agree with you Fiona, give me books any day.
Vooks??? WTH? People will try anything for a quick buck! Having thought about it further, I don't consider

I suppose you have to class a book as a luxury purchase,
-
I'm quite happy to post anywhere as long as it's not a copy of Stephen King's The Stand
I'd also maybe go for November 18th as the cut-off point just to allow extra time in case of additional mail strikes in the UK or posting outside of your own country

Well, I like the wishlist idea the best, too. Why don't we decide right now that that's what we'll do, but maybe we need to up it to 5 books, to give each santa a better choice & the receiver a less chance of guessing which book they will be getting?
Fine by me - the hard part's going to be picking just 5 books from the wishlist
-
I think the wishlist idea is good - that way we'll definitely get something we haven't read but really want
-
I'm up for it, sounds like a great idea
-
Oooh, my favourite film! But I'll let someone else answer
-
Too easy
:D Your turn!
-
Correct! Well done, Fi
Over to you for the next one.
Woo!!! It was the name Gareth that gave it away - will be back in a tick with a quote
Here we go, hope this isn't too easy!
"I do believe Marsellus Wallace, my husband, your boss, told you to take ME out and do WHATEVER I WANTED. Now I wanna dance, I wanna win. I want that trophy, so dance good."

Is it Four Weddings & A Funeral???

Amazon mp3 downloads are great - I don't have or want an iPod as I have an mp3 player built into my phone so I use Amazon & Napster. Will do my best to remember to use the BCF link in future

He sang about 5 gays and 2 pianos - basically about upgrading the house band
Loved the crack he made about Jamie Cullum and yes, pretty eyes indeed - I loved the way the camera just kept focusing on them *sigh* It might just be my eyesight but they didn't look very blue to me tonight. And how he gets when he talks about his children or 'woman-child' and 'boy' as he seemed to be calling them tonight! Best bit was when
he pulled Wossy's trousers down then had to sit at the other end of the sofa until he pulled them up again

Cant wait to find out how it all happened (no lewd comments) but Darren
Sue, PM me the answer to this question because of spoilers but was Darren the dad?
-
Oh a movie, as mentioned, thank goodness its not Summit
Slightly off topic ~Summit are supposed to be making 'Maximum Ride', the James Patterson book, Catherine Hardwicke is directing and she thinks Kristen Stewart should play Max (I don't see it at all!), no doubt there will also be a part for Nikki Reed
Gah! I don't like Nikki Reed at all, I still don't think she's completely right as Rosalie and Kristen Stewart is definitely not Max
I'm intrigued as to who they're going to cast in The Host - I wonder if Stephenie will get to approve who they look at?
-
Thank goodness for that - Summit would have done unspeakable things and taken liberties. I loved Gattaca so I look forward to seeing what Niccol does with The Host
Thanks for the link too, I must have missed that on Stephenie's site
-
It's been confirmed on the Stephenie Meyer website that this book will be adapted for the big screen with Andrew Niccol writing and directing.
I wonder who's bought it? Hope it's not Summit otherwise they'll be casting Robert Pattinson and/or Kristen Stewart and neither of them are right for The Host.
That should be interesting. I imagine it will be another book to film adaptation that I will be disappointed with.I don't think I'll be going to see it - I ended up loving the book but it took me so long to read it I think the film would just ruin all that effort!

The only reason I ever watch Nemesis is for Data - I seem to have the magical ability of being able to
block out what happens to Data and still wind up crying
which is ridiculous

I use Amazon, Book Depository & Play to send to different addresses - works fine and I've not had any problems yet
One thing I will say is to be careful of postage if you're posting it yourself - I sent an average size paperback to the US through BookMooch a week ago and it cost me over
