  1. So glad you enjoyed it Charm
  2. Eww, me too. I read it when I was about 13 or 14 I think, and last year I could remember nothing about it but that little bit (I found out what it was when I joined the forum), I think it'll stay with me forever!
  3. I'm sure I'll be nattering on about it to everyone, never fear!
  4. I'm another online shopper and tend to only use one of two shops - Play.com or Amazon, just purely because both have good prices and free delivery (as I always spend more than
  5. Yay I of course have just finished Dracula: The-Undead and will be posting it out tomorrow Next up is Audrey Niffenegger's Her Fearful Symmetry, and I have to admit, I'm very excited to read it!
  6. I went to watch Surrogates today, really enjoyed it Quite a funny thing happened too, before we went to the cinema my BF and I decided we were gonna get some pick & mix sweets for during the film, so as we settle into our seats, a little skit by Ricky Gervais comes on the screen for The Invention Of Lying, so I pick my sweets out of the carrier bag and put them on my lap and Ricky starts making a joke about the fat girl sat in the front row eating sweets....you guessed it, we were sat at the front row and I'm not the slimmest of people, and so as I looked behind me, EVERYONE in the cinema was staring at me with my sweets on my lap laughing, luckily I took it in good humour and laughed along but it was just such impeccable timing! Now I really want to go and see The Invention Of Lying
  7. I'd agree with Peacefield. I've seen all the eps and read the original 4 books, and would say without hesitation the tv show is better. The books are very teen orientated, and I struggled with them even though I normally enjoy teen books. The show has a much more 'adult' feel to it, as in it's not just bitchy kids like in the books.
  8. We're making our own pizzas tonight
  9. Thank you and thank you Yeah, Bath is lovely, as much as I like living in Lincoln now, Bath will always be my home so yeah it'll be really nice to be back! How's the book going anyway? x
  10. I liked the books too
  11. Ohh you've been recommending this to me all week and I really like the sound of it, I'll have to get a hold of it soon, great review!
  12. Thanks Chesil, I'll look into the ones you've read, you've been a great help

  16. I don't intentionally go one way or another, but generally speaking, my favourites mostly tend to be american
  17. You wont regret it Janet, they are a steal at that price!
  18. My only suggestion would be a lot of wall shelves, or tall bookcases which are good for small spaces, we have one in our tiny bedroom and it's a godsend, would suck if you had to get rid of books
  19. Yeah I was talking to my gran last night and she said she likes it, I was quite shocked
  20. Heya Paula hun :D How are you doing? I'm feeling okay today, still have the migraine though annoyingly, but have popped to the chemist and bought some (very expensive) migraine tablets, so fingers crossed they will work! The CD is fab, I love listening to it, every time I do it of course reminds me of you! Nice to know I have a friend that cares so much :D Ooo I hope you enjoy the HON books, I'm dying to read the new one, typically it releases while I'm in Bath, so I'm preordering it to come here to Michael's mums so I have them when I get back and can lock myself away with them  I just wanted to say again, I'm terribly sorry about Michelle, please pass my condolences onto Martin :friends0: I really hope things pick up for you and your family, it's all been a bit cac of late for you all hasn't it :( Big hugs to you hun, take care xox

  21. I've been wanting to re-read some of Roald Dahl's books for a while as I adored them as a kid, but I wasn't willing to pay around
  22. I second vote most here, Twilight, PS I Love You, The Notebook, and also thought the books of My Sister's Keeper and Half-Blood Prince were much better

  25. I know this is about the show rather than the books, but I was hoping someone here would know, are the Dr Who books suitable for a 12 year old do you think? I've been thinking about getting some for my sister for xmas as she loves the show, but she gets scared quite easily so didn't want to get the books if they'd be too scary
