  1. I love soda bread. I'd bake you some if you liked. Unfortunately, depending on how you choose to address it, the answer is A) I'm a student and broke or I just can't swim that far.
  2. 'She wondered why she was afraid to go home.' Black Sun Rising - C. S. Friedman. In case you're wondering why she was afraid to go home -
  3. ............. *weeps*
  4. My mummy used to bring me home books when I was too little to go myself, I used to love that so much. It was much more fun to let mum pick me out books than do it myself. As I got older I went with her and always looked for her approval before I took a book out. She brought me Harry Potter before it was famous - I hated it, but you can see she has good taste - She brought me Inkheart and The Hobbit and Watership Down and all sorts. My brother and I used to swap books too - he is three years older so I was always trying to prove I could read his books too
  5. Ohh i forgot I applied! I've been approved! Whoever did that (prolly Michelle) will regret that hahaha ^-^ *goes to debate*
  6. I always loved reading. I had phases where I might go off it for months, but I've always considered myself an avid reader. My parents were forever sticking books under the christmas tree, and telling relatives to buy us books I appreciated it though - you can get years of enjoyment of a book that costs €2.50 second hand. Much better value than many gifts.
  7. I'm not debating anything about an afterlife or religion, I just agree with what Kell said. If such shows were true, there'd be hubub about it. I'm not saying such things aren't real, just that I don't think such shows about them are. Additionally, I know its good tv, I've seen the occasional episode here and there, but horror films make good tv without being real Just my opinion though, to each their own of course
  8. My temporary top classics are: Vilette - Charlotte Bronte Northanger Abbey - Jane Austen The Last Man - Mary Shelley Maria - Mary Wollstonecraft Mary Barton - Elizabeth Gaskell Thats coz these are the 5 novels I'm studying this term (so far, there will be a couple more.)
  9. I don't get that at ALL lol. You don't have to be intelligent to read.... just intelligent to appreciate it.
  10. I've never watched this, and I wouldn't believe it anyway. I think if anybody found irrefutable evidence of such things, which is pretty much impossible at the moment, it'd be a pretty big thing.
  11. When I was a teenager (a young one, round 15/16) I never knew ANYBODY who read. I was always in bookshops and the library, and I don't think I ever once discussed a book with anyone.
  12. I'm kidding, I get called sorts by those who know me haha. My name isn't even Roxi, its Nollaig, so meh!
  13. Rosie....? I'm ROXI :D
  14. You don't know me and the kitchen. We're mortal enemies. It sees me coming and it mocks me.
  15. That really does sound good though I wish I could cook
  16. YUMMY!! I'll be over about 7pm, that okay?
  17. But, but.... you're going to have to hop everywhere now, and you'll probably fall sideways a lot I'm going to have some roast potatos with skins on and some chicken. Very basic, but yummy, and I didn't have it the other night, so now I really want it!
  18. I agree entirely. However, Bella is dull because Meyer is dull, and we all know Bella IS Meyer. Sadly.
  19. I don't believe so. I mentioned how Carlisle represents, for me, as the link between vampires and humans, the grey area the rest of the book lacks, as each other character has a general role to place - alice is the prophet, rosalie the skeptic and so on. And as such Carlisle is way too understated. I think thats all i said. I'm doing the 4 reviews as one, sorta. I have Twilight, which covers the basics. New Moon covers Jacob. I'll throw a bit into the third, and the fourth will deal with Jacob compared to Edward.
  20. Some people (i.e me) say he was an obsessive stalker guy. Some people (i.e me) LIKE obsessive stalker guys I said this in my blog review of it - objectively he IS a bad-tempered stalkerish character. People just tend to be endeared by it. Its actually quite distubring - just imagine if Bella DIDN'T like him.
  21. LMAO And gosh you reply quickly!!! :exc:
  22. So what DID you think about eddy as a character?
  23. I don't, thats why I'm curious to see what will come up
  24. What about actually dancing on your BOOKSHELF?
