- This thread is dedicated to drawing up a list of the BCF members' 'Top 20 Books EVERYBODY Should Read!' The guidelines for picking and posting your list are as follows: 1. You are only to choose your top 5 books. No more, preferably no less. 2. Your choices can be from any genre you like, and for any reason you like. 3. This is not necessarily a 'favourites' thread - while you are more than welcome to list your 5 favourites as your choices, the KEY idea here is to name the books you think EVERYBODY should read once. 4. Please note you are welcome to use your list from 2008 if you so choose. 5. A book series is counted as one choice. Name the series, rather than an individual book. - Once enough posts have accumulated, I will list the top 20 here and update it on at least a weekly basis. - Please feel free to discuss other peoples choices (in a constructive manner - people are allowed pick books for any reason, so don't start criticizing reasoning.) Oh i made it through alright. I always complete books. I hope my next read is better too. No idea what it will be, though.

Last meal? I love food, so it'd be a massive meal. For my starter I would have a soup with side sandwich. Probably some kind of farmhouse veg soup, with a chicken and stuffing sandwich on the side. Just like a half bowl of soup, and a small sandwich. Main course would be a roast meal. Couple of roast potatoes, couple of ordinary ones with skins on. Some carrots. Gravy. Some turkey and maybe a sausage stuffing, and little bit of ham. (very small portions of everything so I had some hope of eating it all ) Dessert would include chocolate cake with a scoop of mint ice cream, and maybe tea or coffee. However, I would also be drinking coca cola throughout the entire meal, as I'm addicted to the stuff

I love reading online - saves me buying the books! Theres enough i have to buy because you can't get them online.

I may have to give these a go, I need to read more sci-fi/fantasy.

I'm going to have some 'rustic' roasted potatos with skins on, bit of chicken, yummy gravy. I think.

I'm a useless cook, but I bake the best tarts/cakes/scones around. I have family recipes for each and they are DELICIOUS!

Twilight. And I think many will agree. Its a disgrace to literature, but we love it.

I agree. I only really eat white meat, very rarely do i eat red meat. I don't really like eating meat anyway, I just love it too much to be a veggie. But while I, for example, tried and enjoyed snails, I don't really see the point in killing something so small that you'd need to eat loads to feel filled. I try to stick to the larger, sadly mass farmed animals. Sadly, I love chicken and turkey. Couldn't give it up if I tried.

I love the culture, and its a beautiful country. I have no interest anywhere you noted except Japan, so I think I've just got different taste.

I don't know when I'll again have the money to travel - think I shall take a year out this year before I go on to my Master's so I can visit a few places. I really want to go back to New York for a weekend, and Los Angeles for much longer. Iceland is top of my list though
