  1. Happy Birthday Shirley. I hope all is good with you. Have a lovely day. : )

  2. Does this mean that the Finns don't have Doctor Who? I am devastated for your nation - the series is fan-blooming-tastic!
  3. Can I answer for Raven? Wholally is a merging and play on words ; Who = Doctor Who (The new series of Doctor Who started in the UK on Saturday) and doolally = mad. So Doctor Who Mad avatars. And Raven's current avatar is Scotty from the Star Trek (prequels) films.
  4. Sunday 31st March 2013 Kindle Daily Deal is the individual books from the Chronicles Of Narnia for 99p each.
  5. I got about twenty pages into a re read of a favourite when it all ground to a halt. Since that occured I have been fighting the sense of loss I always get when my mojo goes away, and have been writing bits and pieces instead. . I WANT MY MOJO BACK! So anyhoo, if anyone spies my reading mojo when they are out and about, can you give it the bus fare to get home to me? PLEASE!!!
  6. I'm with Chesilbeach on Girl Meets Boy, a wonderful wonderful book. Delighted that you enjoyed it so much VF.
  7. Hey, I didn't say that my wishes were realistic! In all fairness, there has been so little realeased about the anniversary - most of what I have read has been wild fan speculation (choose for yourself whether it's the fans or their specuation that's wild). I am looking forward to see what they do come up with, but I'm keeping my own speculation dulled so that I canot f guess nothing!
  8. I wish they would just keep quiet about the details - I wanna be surprised! Ah well, I guess they'll be more bits and pieces being released as we get closer to the anniversary date.
  9. Two long years without your kind words and healing spirit. I hope you have all you need in life Genevieve. X

  10. Hey Lady! Have you been around the universe, and other places too on your amazing horse lately? I had to have a listen of the song again recently, as I couldnt remember the lyrics and the song wouldn't leave my head!

  11. Today's Guardian newspaper (Friday 29th March 2013) has a rather wonderful (and more to the point) downloadable graphic - '50 Year History Visualised' Definitely worth a look!
  12. Hello Bree, I thought I would drop by and leave a hug for you. X

  13. I had to google figolla - they sound lovely Mau. If you only had a piece, how big was the original bit? Tonight we are going to have some local made sausages with some Venezia potatoes and vegetables. All I need now is husband to get home so I get it all sorted.
  14. All I can suggest is perhaps giving the literature map a go - it can be useful. Fantastic Fiction also has that bit at the bottom of the page where the author may have recommended books and lists what other people where looking at at the same time that they visited that page - an indication of similar books / authors in most cases. Any use?
  15. Happy Happy Happy Birthday! Have a lovely day Laura. XXX

  16. I occasionally buy Good Housekeeping magazine, and always read my great-nephew's Dr Who Adventures magazine whenever we visit.
  17. What are your thoughts on the subject? Have you read enough of them to get a 'feel' for their enduring appeal? I think that reading two or three would probably give you insight into their strengths and themes and quality. Good luck with it.
  18. We watched Skyfall today. An enjoyable Bond romp, with great action, witty exchanges and good acting.
  19. I had to dig up my old review (if you can call it that) from when I read it last year. White I do remember the essay you have quoted here, and it did niggle me at the time, but not enough to taint my overall impression of the book. Certainly not a fantastic read, nor a fan 'must read', but for a dip in and out of book not too bad. I may dig it out again and see what I think of it a year later.
  20. Happy Birthday Ooshie! Enjoy a lovely day. X
