One made at a nearby farm using some kind of rum, tasted like malibu and pineapple. Also turkish delight. Also like: chocolate n orange from Cream o Galloway, also the one with caramel bits in. The ice cream shop in Lanark is great. The one I'd like to try is Luca's in Musselborough, apparantly it's the best. However nothing has ever come close to proper Italian. I went with my school when I was 15.

I like to think I have an open mind so would not rule anything out completely. However I wont be going out of my way to read war stories, or horror, (or any unbelieveable sci fi stuff). I want what I read to move me, uplift me, maybe even change me, not give me nightmares.

I'm very glad to be here and look forward to contributing to the forum. Thanks to Inver for recommending me. My love of books came from my childhood when my mother used to take us to the Library and let us choose our own books, and when my father bought us a set of encyclopedias. As a teenager I saw literature as something forced upon us by the English teacher, . Later I discovered book shops and caught the bug. My interests are varied, from Biographies to learning Spanish. I admit to not reading much fiction but hope to change that with the help of places like this forum. Ernie:).
