  1. That does make the safety rules much more interesting Poppy! I can't see the easyjet staff over here doing that though I love the new McDonald's ad, the one were all the different types of people enjoy their food. I love listening to it, brings a smile to my face every time
  2. Don't keep us in suspense MuggleMagic! Did you like Eric??
  3. You're not well?? So sorry I missed this hun, hope you feel better soon! Read the first 50 pages of Odd Thomas today, think I'm gonna like this one
  4. Why thank you! :D It's really nice of you to say so and makes all the hard work on the house really worthwhile. It's taken us 4 years from field to this so far and still loads more to do ( you don't want to see the outside  ) but we're getting there and it's so nice to hear comments like yours :D Hope you're having a good week and the haircut went well! I'm sure it's lovely :smile2:

  5. My name is Odd Thomas, though in this age when fame is the alter at which most people worship, I am not sure why you should care who I am or that I exist. Odd Thomas ~ Dean Koontz
  6. Oooh this recipe does look delicious Poppy, I might give it a try with the pumpkin pieces, how much did you use?
  7. Oooh I'm so jealous, I would love to be reading them for the first time! I really hope you like them Kylie! I finished The Book Of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern last night and ended up really enjoying the last of it, I will write my thoughts soon. (Which reminds me, I have my thoughts on the Stuart MacBride book I read before it to write too, seems so long ago now ) I started Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz when I went to bed but only managed 4 pages before my eyes closed
  8. Morning! :D I just popped in to say thank you for the pic comment, I'm glad you liked it :D I hope you're settling in well, everyone is really friendly and I'm sure you'll get loads of book suggestions ... careful though, it's addictive! ;)

  9. Don't apologise! That was a beautiful message you left on my profile and so very thoughtful of you to come and do so  I'm feeling a good bit better thank you, a bit more healing to do yet, but I do feel almost human again  How have you been? Are you still illustrating? I hope you and your family are keeping happy and very well xoxo

  10. I bought a book of short stories by her and two other authors yesterday, don't think it's the one you're talking about though So pleased you enjoyed this so much! It's always really good to find a new author you really like. I did think In Silence by Erica Spindler reminded me of Slaughter's stuff somehow, think it was the small american town element. Mind you, did I not recommend her stuff to you ages ago? ... maybe that was someone else Congrats too on you reaching the big 100 reads this year! Well done!
  11. Good haul Gyre! I don't believe for one minute it will be your last this year mind you, but good haul all the same! My electric was off again from half past 8 this morning until half past 4 this afternoon (tree cutting in the area was the excuse this time, can you believe it? bloody tree cutting!! ) which did mean I couldn't do anything other than read. I did end up making good progress with The Book Of Tomorrow so shall I dare to say, I think my mojo is stirring? I have to say the copy of The Book Of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern I'm reading is absolutely beautiful. It's the hardback version which a dear friend of mine kindly bought me and it's really lovely. I do have the hardback copy of The Gift by the same author and think they are both magnificent looking books, I wish all books were as lovely.
  12. Happy Birthday Maureen! :balloons: Hope you're having a fab day! :smile2:

  13. Hi Gyre :D I'm a good bit better, thanx fer askin, still feel a bit like I have a bad head cold but at least I don't feel like I've just been punched in the face anymore lol I just hope the op was all worth it.

I hope things are going well for you too? I believe you got some good comments back from your last interview? That must have been encouraging, fingers crossed next time is the right one

  19. Glad you're enjoying the Twilight series catwoman. I was really anti-twilight before I was tortured ... sorry I mean coaxed .. into reading them on here. I'm glad I did in the end, I really enjoyed him, and my daughter has re-read them several times! I would say do see the film, it's not as good as the book, (are they ever?) but still pretty good. I'm definately team Edward btw, although lately I'm more team Eric!
