  17. If you fancy a forensic science crime thriller you could check out the Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell details here or something similar, the Temperence Brennan series by Kathy Reichs details here . The second series are the books that the television programme 'Bones' is based on.

    Hi!

Hi there and to the forum!
  19. First of all, to the forum and the fantastic hobby of reading! I hope you enjoy it. If you could narrow down your topics a bit that would be great as it would enable us to come up with something more to your taste. I know you've read Angels and Demons, is that the type of thing you're after? A lot of recently released films have been based on books for example, The Time Travellers Wife, The Lovely Bones and not forgetting Twlight & New Moon of course! I myself am a fan of crime thrillers and horror with the odd good chicklit and will be happy to recommend some to you in those genres if that's what you're after Good luck! There are loads of members who will come up with some brilliant book suggestions for you!
  20. I've heard it's a bit hit and miss, but I'll post my thoughts as soon as I've finished, so far it seems quite interesting. Funny, it's been reminding me of The Bone Garden the whole time and I'm only a few pages in!
  21. Aw thank you! I'm glad you think it's good enough for Grand Designs  When we finish the outside I'll post pics and you'll see it looks pretty ordinary from the outside ;) Not sure if it would be dramatic enough for Kevin McCloud

My OH and I pretty much come up with the interior stuff ourselves, I really love period style and gothic stuff (hence the arch windows) so I tend to stick to that. I really would love to have found an old church to renovate but it just didn't happen. Mind you a few people have mentioned it looks like a church from the front, I wonder if I should place a collection tray just inside the front door for when visitors arrive!

  22. Why thank you! You're makin me blush now No worries, if you change your mind just let me know and I can leave your name to the very end if you like
  23. Great review on The Lovely Bones Shin and some interesting titles you have there to add to your TBR pile! I love Dracula, my absolute favourite classic/vamp, I hope you like it I almost started The Lovely Bones but went for The Resurrectionist instead, I think I'll pick it up next though
