*giggles* ... aw thanks Mac, you always give me a chuckle! Hoping one of these reads perks it up ;) Hope you're having a good weekend with not too much snow! :)

  5. Finally, I finished Through A Glass, Darkly by Bill Hussey. It took me ages but I think that was more to do with my mojo than the book itself. Not sure what to read next. Need a mojo grabber so it's either Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare or The Morganville Vamps book 1
  6. Oh dear lord, I am so sick of aching back and joints. I think I need rubbed out and redrawn! :(

  7. Oh my word!! Such a good haul! Lucky you to have a great perk of the job like that one! I almost bought this the other day, but was put off by the sheer size of it, it's huge! Glad you're enjoying it though I loved Let The Right One In, one of my surprise favourites of last year. So pleased you're enjoying it Reading activity? 2 pages
  8. Know that feeling, I'm still reading 'Through A Glass, Darkly ' .... again, mojo issues Yay! Well done getting there in the end As for the sinus headache, try 4head migraine strips and 4head stick. Trust me, I suffer these headaches on a regular basis and this is the only thing that gives me relief
  9. I'm so pleased it has picked up your mojo! The next two in the series are just as good, if not better Make sure you do woman, or you'll have me to answer to! ... or you could just borrow mine As for my mojo? It has done a runner and scarpered! :sos:
  10. Happy Birthday Denise! Hope you're having a lovely day :)

    Ricks Books

Hi Rick! Welcome to the forum If you're a fan of The Twilight Series and Harry Potter you may enjoy Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, again a supernatural series although also young adult. For a more grown up version, try Women Of The Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong Happy Reading!
  12. So glad you enjoyed the demonica series Weave!! Nothing like a bit of pure escapism to perk up one's mojo
  13. Ooooh nice! I got the same 3 second hand books (but in great condition) out of a charity shop recently and thoroughly enjoyed all 3! So much so, that I ordered a brand new copy of A Clockwork Angel straight away You'll whizz through them as they're young adult, and are sure to bring your mojo home. Hope you enjoy them I read about 30 pages today while waiting for my OH in the car
  14. Ooh it's lovely in here! Beautiful colours :D Just popped in to wish you a very Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great weekend and get loads of lovely pressies and books *hugehugs* xo

  15. Thanks peacefield, I don't think it has anything to do with the book, it's actually pretty good, I just don't want to read ...never ever thought I'd say that I'm so pleased though that you're enjoying Kathy Reichs, it really is very different from the series but still good. Her earlier ones are definitely the best Hope you get something good with your coupon! Dontcha just love a bargain Thanks pipread, me too. I hate not reading You're very welcome, I hope you enjoy it
  16. Jack Trent stared into the bathroom mirror. Through A Glass, Darkly by Bill Hussey
  17. Hey Pipread! So pleased to see you've enjoyed the Karin Slaughter books, her earlier stuff is brilliant! Erica Spindler's 'In Silence' is a bit like a Slaughter book, so you may like that one too, but then you already know how good Spindler is!
  18. Great reviews Weave, as usual my friend! You've read some crackers this year and you were right of course, I adored 'Linger' So you think I would like Susan Hill's stuff? I was in two minds whether or not to join The Small Hand bookring, but then The Woman In Black sounds good too
  19. is fed up. Feeling really down lately :'( As well as my usual pains, I now have a headache ... just wonderful.

  24. I love the name Clutterbuck! My sister used to be a home help for a little old lady, many many years ago, called Edie Clutterbuck, she was tiny and so adorable! Oh me too Alison! I don't sleep well anyway, but add nightmares to the pot and I'd be like a walking zombie myself! Shame really, as it does look pretty good ... apart from the zombies
