I've picked this book up many times in the bookshop, but never actually bought it. I am not sure what is stopping me... I wonder if it appeared a bit too "worthy". I will definitely give it a go now.

I can't remember the name of the book now, but I picked it up randomly from the crime section as the blurb on the back sounded good. It was a great read, a murder early on (a drowning) and lots of dodgy people with motives. When I got to the end it turned out that...
Have an endings really let you down?
The stories themselves are quite different to the main HP series, there is less humour I thought. They are much more like fables, but I enjoyed them anyway.
It's nice to be able to chat about a book where someone has the complete opposite point of view to you about the plot.
I guess thats the joy of a forum, lots of different opinions. I don't know anyone "in real life" to chat about books with.
I've given up on the local book groups, they all seem barking mad...

The trick to not making them go up in the middle is not to over fill the cake case. Only 1/3 full of mixture, and then they stay flat, or at least mine do. Any more than that and they rise too much.
LOL, good explanation! I understood why it happened, but, I still think it's a mad ending for a book. It really jarred with me, didn't seem to fit with the rest of the book.
I'm not the best of cooks as Mr Nellie will tell you, but I'm not bad at Fairy Cakes. Mrs Nellie-in-Law is coming to visit tomorrow, so I have made some cakes. I hope they taste OK! *worries*
Oohps! Ha ha! Didn't I tell you I have a tardis? All fixed now.
I have to say that my Book Spa at Mr B's really opened up a lot of new authors to me, and so I read a much more varied selection of books now.
I didn't see the TV version, but I have heard alot about. I'll let you know how I get on!
